Subject: Preliminary Scrutiny Status of candidates in respect of recruitment to 02 (01-UR, 01-OBC) vacancies of
Stenographer Grade-II in Geological Survey of India (Central Headquarters), Ministry of Mines advertised
vide Post Category No. ER14822 under Phase-X/2022/Selection Posts – regarding.

In continuation of the result of the Computer Based Examination for Phase-X/2022/Selection Posts, the Commission has
shortlisted additional candidates for the next stage of scrutiny process for the post of Stenographer Grade-II [Post Category No.
ER14822] in Geological Survey of India (Central Headquarters), Ministry of Mines, in pursuance of para 18.22 of the Notice of
Phase-X/2022/Selection Posts, which reads as under:

‘In case, during the stage of Scrutiny of documents/Document Verification, the Commission observes that the vacancy(ies)
for a particular category of Post(s) is/are not getting filled up completely, an additional number of candidates who have
qualified in the Computer Based Examination, in the order of merit, shall be called only for one more time, at the
discretion of the Commission for filling up the number of vacancies not getting filled up, in the ratio of 1:20 for vacancies
upto 5 and 1:10 for vacancies more than 5.’

2. The Crucial date for determining of age-limit and possession of Essential Qualifications (EQs)/ Experience will be
01.01.2022 and 13.06.2022 respectively. The Crucial date for claim of SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwD status and reservation, where not
specified otherwise, is 13.06.2022.

3. The Essential Qualifications (EQs) attached to the post are as follows:

(i) Pass in 12th or equivalent (10+2) from a recognized Board or University;

(ii) Skill Test Norms:- On Computer only- Dictation: 10 minutes at the rate of 80 w.p.m , Transcribe: 50 minutes
(English), 65 minutes (Hindi)

4. On scrutiny of the hard copies of Applications along with supporting documents received from additional candidates
declared provisionally qualified in the Computer Based Mode (CBM) of Examination for Phase-X/2022/Selection Posts for the
post of Stenographer Grade-II on the basis of Essential Qualification and other relevant terms & conditions of recruitment as
mentioned in the Advertisement Notice, the preliminary scrutiny status of the candidates is attached at ANNEXURE. The list is
purely provisional and subject to correction due to any genuine ground viz. clarification from User/Indenting Department,
production of equivalence certificate, error in scrutiny/data etc.

5. If any candidate, who has submitted documents within the stipulated date i.e. 09.07.2024, has any objection with regard to
his/her ineligibility/ground of rejection, he/she may submit his/her grievance/representation to this Regional Office along with
supporting documents through e-mail at recttsscer.wb-dopt@gov.in positively by 21.07.2024 (23:00 hours) mentioning his/her
Roll No., Registration No. and Post Code along with self-attested supporting documents. Any representation received after the last
date & time will not be entertained under any circumstances.

6. Please note that the candidates who have provisionally qualified in the CBM Examination but have failed to submit hard
copies of their applications along with copies of certificates in support of their Age, EQ etc. within the stipulated date i.e.
09.07.2024 and such other candidates who have not qualified in CBM Examination but have submitted hard copies and requisite
certificates, have not been considered for the captioned recruitment.
