22 Safety Inspection

NOTE • The audible warning signal must sound for 2 seconds or

continuously (depending on programming) after 5 or 10
minutes (depending on programming) of totaled fluoros-
copy time. Pressing the -0- button once turns of the warn-
ing signal. The warning signal sounds again every 5 or 10
minutes.
• Depending on country-specific programming, no compul-
sory radiation shut-down occurs, or shut-down occurs
after 5 or 10 minutes of uninterrupted fluoroscopy time (in
this case the warning signal sounds 30 seconds before
compulsory shut-down). Releasing the radiation release
switch resets the system.
• The totaled fluoroscopy time is displayed on the control
panel. The uninterrupted fluoroscopy time is not dis-
played.
• If the ->0<- button is pressed for longer than 3 seconds,
the totaled fluoroscopy time and accumulated dose dis-
play (if present) are rest to 0.

SIE Iris collimator

• Check the iris collimator and correct it if necessary.
X - Select the I.I. full format and release fluoroscopy briefly.
- The collimator blades must be clearly visible at the edges of the image.
- Select a zoom format and release fluoroscopy briefly.
- The collimator blades must be clearly visible at the edges of the image.

SIE Dose area product meter (if present)

X • Check the area dose product meter and its accuracy (see the SIREMOBIL Compact L
Troubleshooting Guide).

SIE Air kerma meter (if present)

X • Check the air kerma meter and its accuracy (see the SIREMOBIL Compact L Trouble-
shooting Guide).

PMF Video printer (if present)
• Check the function of the video printer.
• Check the remote control (Print button).
PMF Image rotation
• Check the 0° position and the entire range of rotation ( ± 180°) of the image rotation pre-
view.
PMF Slot diaphragm
• Select I.I. full format.
X • Open the slot diaphragm completely and briefly release fluoroscopy.
The slot diaphragm blades are no longer visible on the screen.
