Troubleshooting 1.7

External switched-mode power supply 0

• Measure the output voltage, printed on the external switched-mode power supply.
• It can also be checked by swapping the low voltage connectors from one to the other
installed TFT display.

TFT Display 0

• Depending on the malfunction, ensure that the display is the defective part.

NOTE The TFT display includes no repairable parts and has to be

changed completely if defective.

- Check the switched-mode power supply.

- Check the connectors (low voltage input, video signal input)
- Check the video signal of the MEMOSKOP with the SMPTE test pattern (300mV
Sync +/- 10%, 1Vss +/- 10% (in 100% peak white field)).
- Check the input selection switch (at the bottom side of the TFT display). The switch
can be set in 3 positions:
a) Position to the rear: VGA input selected
b) Middle position: BNC input selected, 75Ohm termination resistor is off.
c) Position to the front: BNC input selected, 75 Ohm termination resistor is on.
- Check the settings of the on screen menu in accordance with the user manual.
