The Deseeya Hindi Academy is a voluntary Hindi organization

working with the financial support of the Union Ministry of Education
to spread Hindi, the official language and the language of communication
stipulated under Part XVII/343 of the Constitution of India, in the
non-Hindi speaking state of Kerala.
As Hindi learning is compulsory in CBSE/ICSE schools we need to
encourage Hindi learning among our students. To achieve this objective
Deseeya Hindi Academy with the permission of Department of Education
Govt. of Kerala has been conducting Prathibha Hindi Scholarship
Examination for the students of 1st to 10th standard of CBSE/ICSE schools
in the state from the last few years.
Detailed information about the exam is attached.
The cover page has few pictures of Prathibha Milan - 2024 Awards
Ceremony. Where many students were honored with Scholarships,
Medals, Rank Certificates also 25 Schools at state and district level were
awarded Ponnada, memento for Rashtrabhasha awards and felicitation
Certificates.

 PRATHIBHA HINDI SCHOLARSHIP EXAMINATION (PHSE)
PROSPECTUS 2024-25

The main task of the Hindi voluntary organizations working in the country with the
help of the Union Ministry of Education is to Teaching and spread of Hindi which is the
official language and the language of contact stipulated in the Constitution of India. The
Deseeya Hindi Academy, which has been working in the field of Hindi propaganda since
1985, has organized many programs at the state level. As Hindi had become compulsory in
CBSE / ICSE schools as per the central government language policy, we need to make Hindi
learning in our schools more simple and attractive. Prathibha Hindi Scholarship Exam is
conducted to achieve this goal.
Government of Kerala Department of General Education No. G. Edn- D1 /120/2018 - G.EDn.
as per dated 30.05.2019, activities related to Hindi language learning conducted by Deseeya
Hindi Academy in schools of the state have been permitted.
The Prathibha Hindi Scholarship Examination will be conducted on the basis of the
study guide prepared by the Deseeya Hindi Academy as per the syllabus of Hindi being in 1st
to 10th standards in CBSE / ICSE schools. Thus 85 marks will be from the examinations guide,
10 marks will be for general knowledge and 5 marks will be for good handwriting.
Out of total 100 marks, Distinction will be awarded on above 80 marks, First Class on
60 to 79 marks, Second Class on 45 to 59 marks and Third Class on 35 to 44 marks. Minimum
marks required to pass 35.

SCHOLARSHIPS AND AWARDS

The rank at the state level is determined from those who get the highest marks in
each standard. Those securing ranks in 1st to 5th standards will be awarded a scholarship
amount of Rs.500, 400, 300 and Rs.750,600 and 500 for 6th to 10th standards, along with a
medal and rank certificate. Those who score more than 85 marks will get a medal and those
who score up to 35 marks will get certificates. Schools with the highest number of examinees
are recognized with the RASHTRABHASHA AWARD the state and district level.
Examination Date : 02.11.2024 Saturday
Time : 10 AM to 12 PM
Examination Fee : Standard 1 to 5 - Rs.150
Standard 6 to 10 - Rs. 200
30 rupees out of 150 rupees and 50 rupees out of 200 rupees received as examination
fee can be used by the respective schools to prepare each candidate for the examination.
Out of the remaining amount, Rs.120 and Rs.150 will be paid towards the examination fee
to the Deseeya Hindi Academy.
Study material will be sent to the schools as soon as the exam fee and list of candidates
reach the academy office.
Examination Center
The examination is conducted in the respective schools. The Principal will be the Chief
Superintendent and the teachers will be the Assistant Superintendent. The question papers
and answer sheets required for the examination and center expences will be delivered to
the schools before October 25.
The Academy will bear the cost of conducting the examination for the school having
more than 40 examinees. A school with up to 39 examinees will be allowed an examination
center but will not pay the center expences.

How to send Examination Fee and List

Fee can be paid through RTGS / NEFT / Google Pay / Paytm / PhonePe or by scanning
the QR code. Payment can be made directly to the Academy’s account through Pay-in-slip
from SBI branches. Cash, money order and check are not accepted.
List of candidates can be sent by post or e-mail to dhahindi@gmail.com along with
description. The name information of those appearing for the examination can be copied
from the attached Students List and Exam Description or downloaded from the website of
the academy. Candidates name should be written in English/ Hindi.

Prathibha Milan - 2025 organized by Deseeya Hindi Academy at the state level in
February 2025 at Thiruvananthapuram will present the awards to the rank winners and
schools in a grand function attended by the State / Union Minister and eminent personalities
from the field of education, literature and culture. Medals and certificates of the winners
will be sent to the schools before March 15 for those who cannot participate in the said
