What is a natural talen t ?

WE ALL HAVE A NATURAL TALENT.

It is a set of spontaneous skills, things that we do naturally very At school and later in the business world, ants are often valued
well and almost effortlessly. Often, these tasks even regenerate because they know how to respect the framework that is given
us, give us energy. And if we apply ourselves to them, excellence to them. It is rather their entourage that tends to suggest to them,
seems within reach. without much success, to be a little more creative, fancy, to “let
go”.
Our natural talent will spontaneously manifest itself in the face of
danger, stress or when we need to recharge our batteries. There are four natural talents. In the universe of Blooming
Companies, they are represented by the ant, the spider, the

family) has encouraged us to become better at what we were less
good at. Each one of them has the impression that everyone can do with
ease what is their natural talent.

y our n a tural talent ?

When we are made aware of our talent, we can choose to

direct our activities to facilitate certain aspects of our life or a
project. We can take it into account to manage our finances,
our network or our daily life.

Spotting and understanding the natural talent of others also

allows us to know how to please them, to understand their
behavior in a group or when faced with a task. We understand
better the interest of complementarity in a team, we become
more tolerant.

But be careful, talent is not the only nuance between

individuals, it does not say anything, for example, about our
dominant sense (visual, auditive or kinaesthetic), our values or
counter-values, or our relationship to money.

Ant
You have your feet on the ground and you are an ace at organizing. Pragmatic, nothing gives you more
pleasure than to be helpful to others.

But be careful, if you haven’t learned how to say “no”, you may get lost in an overwhelming activity.

People with a natural talent of type “ant” are animated by an autumnal energy (the harvest season) and
draw all their strength from action and adjust their intervention based on their 5 senses.

Ants like to help others and don’t care if you think they are “too” efficient. They are cautious and take
their time to get things done.

They are calm, composed, organized and are the best to answer the question “when ?”.

The wo r ld s een by a n t s
Ants have a broad and very perceptive vision of
things. They have a permanent consciousness of the
environment and of the elements which contribute to
their center of attention.

They love “to take charge” and transform immaterial

ideas into concrete projects. They can be so focused on a
project and its purpose that they miss the big picture.

The talent of ants is based on the functions of the

temporal lobe which articulates thought around
sensations. It is in the physical world that they thrive.

This “sensory” cognitive dynamic allows them to create

value over time. Ants sense when to buy, when to sell,
when to act, when to pass up.

This is the supreme strength of the ant. It is in the
action, in the “doing”. It starts tasks and joyfully carries
them out with regularity and enthusiasm.

We aknesses

The risk of exhaustion.

Basically, the ant does not know how to rest. It thrives
on action with others and/or in the service of others.
If it hasn’t learned to say no and its entourage isn’t
attentive to preserve it, it can simply burn out.

The lack of perspective.

The ant’s perspective is the framework of its project.
It does not need the big picture. It may be very
surprised and frustrated, for example, if its project is
wiped off the map because the overall strategy has
changed.

Imagination.
The ant is at ease in the concrete, in things that it can
connect to a tangible reality. It is not interested in «
brainstorming » and other debates of ideas.

El ise' s examp le

In the book “Blooming People, manual of

abundance for the gardeners of Life”, I present
Elise’s example.

Elise is a salaried employee and very much

appreciated by her employer. She likes the
stability of her situation but is not “thrilled”
with her job. She doesn’t want to “throw
everything away to start her own business” (a
risk that doesn’t suit ants at all), but she relies
on her passion for interior design to create a
supplementary revenue.

Methodically, she bought, renovated and

decorated apartments that she put up for
rent. This activity in real estate allowed her to
combine hobby and economic income.

About ta len ts
I did not invent anything. These talents are inspired by
the four temperaments of Hippocrates. They were picked
up by Jung and are found in the background of many
psychometric tests used by human resources.

I simply gave them the names of insects because my

world is one of permaculture and gardens.

We all have the four talents within us, in varying degrees.

It is therefore normal that you find yourself in all of
them to some extent. Nevertheless, there is one that
dominates and that is the one you will rely on.

There is no better one. All of them have their specificities

and all of them are necessary for a successful project.

We get along very well with talents that are similar to us

(we are “on the same wavelength”) and it is with different
and complementary talents that we will carry out the
most solid projects.

Wh o am I ?

My name is Katell Bosser. I am a permaculturalist of thriving

businesses, author, speaker and instructor.

For a major part of my life, I desperately wanted to become an Ant

(to please my family, my hierarchy, etc.).

I thought I was pretty much useless, I had no confidence in myself.

I was ashamed of my weak resume.

When I discovered that I was a Butterfly (and no, not everyone has
the same creativity), I understood my flaws better, accepted them and
learned to manage them. (Often, it’s just a matter of taking a certain
angle to get certain tasks done).

My self-confidence grew.

This personal ecological approach has naturally served as an anchor

for a wider vision, a desire to contribute to leading our planet
towards recovery. This is how I came to write “Blooming People, a
manual of abundance for the gardeners of Life”.
