6.1 Combination of Loads
The combination of loadind condition and shall be as given according to ASCE SATANDARD ASCE/SEI 7-10.

Frame weight: Automatic weight calculation software

The acceleration of gravity: g = 9.8 m/s2

Dead load of module (N) : G = 38.50 kg x 9.8 m/s2 = 377.3 N

The module area(m2) S = 2.384 x 1.303 = 3.106 m2

Pressure of module (N/m2) : D = G / S = 121.46 N/m2

6.3 Wind Load Calculations
(1) Basic Wind Speed

The basic wind speed, V , used in the determination of design wind loads on buildings and
other structures.The wind shall be assumed to come from any horizontal direction.Values are
nominal design 3-second gust wind speeds in miles per hour (m/s) at 33 ft(10m) above ground
for Exposure C category.

Wind speed is 33.04 m/s


(2) Wind Directionality Factor
The wind directionality factor Kd shall be determined from Table 6-1. This factor shall only
be applied when used in conjunction with load combinations.
Solar photovoltaic bracket system belongs to main wind force resisting system,so the Kd
is taken as 0.85

(3) Topographic Factor


Wind speed-up effects at isolated hills, ridges,and escarpments constituting abrupt changes
in the general topography, located in any exposure category,shall be included in the design
when buildings and other site conditions and locations of structures meetall of the following
conditions:

1. The hill, ridge, or escarpment is isolated and unobstructed upwind by other similar
topographic features of comparable height for 100 times the height of the topographic feature
(100H) or 2 mi (3.22 km), whichever is less. This distance shall be measured horizontally
from the point at which the height H of the hill, ridge, or escarpment is determined.

2. The hill, ridge, or escarpment protrudes above the height of upwind terrain features
within a 2-mi (3.22 km) radius in any quadrant by a factor of two or more.

3. The structure is located as shown in Fig. 7-4 in the upper one-half of a hill or
ridge or near the crest of an escarpment.
4. H/Lh≥0.2.
5. H is greater than or equal to 15 ft (4.5 m) for Exposures C and D and 60 ft (18 m)
for Exposure B.

If site conditions and locations of structures do not meet all the conditions then
Kzt is taken as 1.0
(4) Velocity Pressure Exposure Coefficient
Velocity pressure exposure coefficient Kz shall be determined from Table 6-2. For a site
located in a transition zone between exposure categories, that is, near to a change in ground
surface roughness, intermediate values of Kz , between those shown in Table 6-2, are
permitted, provided that they are determined by a rational analysis method defined in the
recognized literature.Surface roughness categories are in Table 6-3.

6.4 Snow Load Calculations


(1) Ground Snow Loads
Ground snow loads, Pg,to be used in the determination of design snow loads for roofs.
Ground snow loads Pg is 0.00 Kpa,equals to 0 N/m2.
(2) Exposure Factor
The exposure factor Ce shall be determined from Table 6-7.

8.4 Calculation of fulcrum reaction force

A. F1, F2 and F3 in the figure refer to forces in the X, Y and Z directions respectively;
B, M1, M2 and M3 refer to bending moments around X, Y and Z directions respectively;
