CHANGES MADE LESS THAN 48
HOURS BEFORE YOUR TRAVEL TIME WILL NOT BE NOTED! Make
sure to call for any last minute changes.

Before You Go:

Due to route schedule and shortage of time, we are not able to change your drop
off location on the same day with the driver, please make sure you plan your trip in advance
and let us know at least 1-2 days prior to pick up with any drop off location changes, if you
do not contact us we will drop off at our default location which is the Airport, there are a
few locations where we do not drop off or pick up under any circumstances due to the size
of the buses we use with no exceptions).
Please don't forget to tip the driver as our drivers depend on tips and our service depends
on our drivers.
Standard tip is 10-15% of the price and is not included in the ticket cost.
If you are traveling with another party who booked a separate reservation and you would
like to be on the same bus with them, please email us their reservation number or their last
name at least 1 day prior. We will not be able to switch you to a different bus when you
check in in the morning, so you can be together on the same bus. This has to be
communicated to us ahead of time or you will be randomly assigned to a different bus and
separated from your friends/family.
This is a shared transfer, the seats are not assigned. It is first come, first served. If seating
location is important to you, please make sure to get on the bus at the beginning of loading
process.
Our buses are not wheelchair accessible, we can accommodate a foldable travel size
wheelchair inside the luggage section of the bus. If you have a motorized scooter, please
call us to get an approval.

MUST READ MEETING AND SERVICE DESCRIPTION INSTRUCTIONS:

No matter where you are being picked up, you are looking for something or someone with a
sign that says ALASKA CRUISE TRANSPORTATION "ACT BIG BUS"

PRINCESS AND HOLLAND AMERICA CRUISE LINE: The ship lets you out starting at 7:00AM,
our bus arrives to the terminal at 8:00AM (with the 7:30 tunnel opening), but we usually leave the
terminal at 8:45AM - 9:00AM, so we require you to be inside the terminal with your luggage no
later than 8:45AM. The pick up timing is crucial because there is a tunnel to get out of Whittier
(close to the terminal) that opens every hour on the hour, since our tours and transfers run on a
schedule and some of our passengers have flights to catch, we are scheduled leave Whittier at
9:00AM tunnel and it is very troublesome for us to wait if you are delayed. If the ship is not giving
you early enough disembark time, please let the ship know that you have to get off before
8:45AM and simply walk off the ship, they will not stop you since you have to get on your bus.

Once you walk off the ship, go inside the Whittier cruise ship terminal, pick up your luggage
then look for a red sign ALASKA CRUISE TRANSPORTATION - ACT BIG BUS. There will be
our representative next to our sign. DO NOT GO OUTSIDE to look for our buses unless you have
your bus number and you know where to go. If any questions please speak to our
representative inside the cruise ship terminal.

WE DO NOT LEAVE OUR RESERVED PASSENGERS without contacting them first. If we cannot
find you at the pick up location we will make all possible attempts to locate you, so it is important
to have your cell phone on in case you have trouble finding our bus. If we are not able to get a
hold of you over the cell phone, we will not be able to find you.

NO food allowed in our vehicle, unless we are supplying meals and/or prior arrangements have
been made, only bottled beverages are allowed on the bus (no coffee cups).

These are shared bus rides with OPEN SEATING, there are NO assigned seats on the bus. It is
FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED. If seating arrangments are important to you, please make sure you
are the first ones to board the bus or book a private vehicle for your group.

SERVICE TYPES DESCRIPTIONS PLEASE CHOOSE THE ONE THAT APPLIES TO YOUR
RESERVATION:

DIRECT TRANSFERS: there are no tour stops, we will only be making stops for dropping people
off at various locations in Anchorage, and you might not be the first drop off.

SHORT WILDLIFE TOURS: our short wildlife tours are strictly timed and there is not much time
to wonder around exploring the area and are designed to simply give you opportunities for
picture taking, please follow all drivers requests to board the bus promptly. The timing is
approximate due to weather conditions, traffic, and people. It might not be exactly timed.

FULL DAY TOURS: our full day tour includes all the entrance fees and lunch (variety of
sandwiches - beef, turkey, ham, veggie, snacks, and water, let us know if you are vegetarian).
Please wear appropriate footwear for hiking on gravel roads, bring a rain jacket, and a small
umbrella. The tram might be closed if it is too windy (rare). If we do not meet the required
number of people, you will be switched to our shorter wildlife tour with a refund.

VEHICLE RESERVED:

You will be traveling in our tour coach shared with other people (the size of the bus depends on
the number of people going that day, the biggest bus fits 45 people).

LUGGAGE POLICY

1. Due to limited space on the bus, you are permitted two regular checked bags per person.
They will travel with you in the luggage section of the bus.
2. You may also have one small carry-on item such as a purse, camera case, or small
backpack. All carry-on items must fit under the seat in front of you. Please be aware that
your airport carry-on luggage bag does NOT fit inside the bus and will be put with the rest
of the luggage bags in the luggage bays.
3. We do not allow any bags with wheels, wheelchairs/walkers, or bags larger than a
backpack or a large purse in the cabin of the coach, they have to be stored in the luggage
compartment.
4. There is a $25 CHARGE per item for more than 3 pieces per person
5. No mobility scooters are allowed on our buses, there is not enough space for them. No
exceptions. If you are bringing a scooter please contact us as soon as possible to cancel
your booking.

We are very careful about your luggage as we know that it is very important part of traveling.
However, we do not tag your luggage thus the driver is not able to recognize your luggage while
loading or unloading. Please make sure you hand all your luggage to the driver for loading and
make sure you check that you have all your luggage when unloading. We cannot be responsible
for your luggage as we do not know what it looks like and how much luggage you have. When you
pick your luggage at the cruise terminal make sure you take only YOUR own bags and not
someone else's and then when you arrive to your destination in Anchorage you find you are
missing your bag which was left at the terminal. Do not leave your luggage unattended around
the bus, the driver will not load the luggage unless one of the passengers hand it to him/her. Our
driver simply puts what you give him/her into the bus and when passengers get out, the driver
just hands the passengers what they say is theirs. The driver is not able to and will not match the
IDs of passengers with the luggage tags on the bags (some bags do not have the luggage tags).
We trust that you are only taking your own luggage and if you do not trust other passengers
please make sure yourself that others do not take your luggage.

YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR MAKING SURE ALL YOUR LUGGAGE BAGS GET LOADED INTO OR
OUT OF THE BUS. PLEASE TRIPLE CHECK!

CANCELLATION POLICY

We accept cancellation requests by EMAIL ONLY, we cannot cancel a reservation by a


phone call, we will need a cancellation request in writing to avoid mistakes on our end.
Please email your cancellation request to info@alaskacruisetransfer.com with your name or
confirmation number included.

Shared Bus Service Reservations:

You can book early and lock in our early bird sale prices and rest assured that you can
change or cancel your booking for any reason without penalties up until 45 days prior to
travel.
It is advised to book early as our regular prices are usually 25% higher the closer it is to the
date of your travel or summer months, in addition we do get full on selected days as we
have limited seats.
Our family friendly policy allows you to cancel with a full refund due to serious incidents
which are limited to medical emergencies, family emergencies, and/or missing the cruise
ship due to inability to enter the country because of customs problems at any time even if
it is less than 45 days prior to the date of travel.

Charges and Cancellation Dates for Shared Bus Service

You can change or cancel your reservation with no fees or penalties up until 45 days prior to your
travel date. Cancellations and/or changes are required in writing to
info@alaskacruisetransfer.com, we can't take cancellations by a phone call or voice messages to
avoid mistakes. The following penalties apply:

10% fee is charged between 45 and 31 days,


50% fee is charged between 30 and 15 days prior to travel.
All reservations are non-refundable within 14 days of travel.
Medical emergencies are exempt and are refundable at any time (for the person who is sick
and his/her immediate family).
Please consider purchasing travel insurance

Special arrangements or circumstances

Please let us know, if you require special arrangements, and we will try to accommodate your
needs. We will consider all the circumstances if you contact us, however we are not responsible
and will not issue a refund for services delayed or not rendered due to airlines or cruise line non-
performance, Mother Nature, acts of terrorism or to other circumstances not mentioned in the
above which are beyond your or our control.
In no event shall Alaska Cruise Transfer or its employees, directors, agents, or any other
representatives be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive or
other damages (regardless of the form of action) arising out of (i) use of the service by any
person, including but not limited to any damage caused by any reliance on, or any delays,
inaccuracies, errors or omissions in, any information and content accessed over the service, (ii)
any use or inability to use the service for whatever reason, including but not limited to
communications failure or any other failure with transmission or delivery of any information
accessed through the service, or (iii) any goods or services discussed, purchased or obtained,
directly or indirectly, through the service, in each case even if advised of the possibility of such
damages.
