Friday 1st & Saturday 2nd March 2024 – 6pm Start
CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

1. The event will be run according to the Speedway New Zealand General Rules
and Regulations Teams Racing Code of Ethics.
2. All drivers must hold a current SNZ Inc.Licence and all vehicles must comply with
the current Speedway New Zealand Rule book and supplementary regulations.
3. Noise level of 95dba will be enforced as measured by SNZ Regulations.
4. MyLaps Electronic Lapscoring will be used. Lapscoring will be by way of the
AMB TranX260 timing system. The official transmitter for Electronic Lapscoring is
AMB Personal TranX260
Transmitters to be working.
Vehicles without a transmitter will not be permitted to race.
Waikaraka Speedway does not provide transmitters.
5. All competitors use their normal racing numbers (contracted track numbers). It is a
condition of entry that competing vehicles arrive at vehicle checking displaying
the number allocated to them and that the numbers comply with the rules of
Speedway New Zealand Inc. (no cardboard / paper numbers)
6. The Promoter reserves the right to alter the format to a SNZ Approved Format
and closing date if deemed necessary. You will be notified of any such changes.
7. Technical Inspections – Please pay attention to Rules E2-3-1 to E2-3-5.
8. Sponsors advertising transfers may be affixed on each car.
9. Telephone entries will be accepted prior to written entry. Entries close
Wednesday 21st February 2024.
10. In the event that you have already forwarded an entry form and discover that you
are unable to attend this meeting, you must notify us as soon as possible.
11. In the event of a rainout, the Promoter reserves the right to hold the event on the
next most opportune day and time.
12. Alcoholic beverages must not be consumed in the Pits anytime, before, during
and after the meeting. The bar in the Club Rooms will be open to drivers, crew,
friends and families at the end of racing.
13. For promotional use, please complete the drivers profile form and include a clear
coloured photograph of your car or email photograph to pnspeedway@xtra.co.nz

Vehicle Checking
Friday 1st March 2024 1pm to 3.30pm
Prestige Pools Waikaraka Speedway, Pit Area
Saturday 2nd March 2024 2.30pm – 4.45pm
Prestige Pools Waikaraka Speedway, Pit Area

Managers Meeting: to be held in the Club Rooms at 3.45pm on both nights.


Drivers briefing to be held in the Club Rooms at 4.45pm on both nights, only
drivers and team managers may attend.
The Grand Parade and introduction will start at 6.00pm both nights.

Rain Date: Sunday 3rd March 2024 or at the next opportune time.
Admission to Venue
Driver & Crew admission: Driver and two crew members FREE. All must be in
the tow vehicle at the time of entry into the venue. The team manager will also
receive one free pass to both nights, these will be available for collection from pit
gate by the team manager.

* Child 8 to 15 yrs inclusive, (7 and under free)


** Family (2 adults and up to 4 children, 8 to 15 yrs incl)
Note: You can not get more than two adults in on a family pass.

Appearance & Prize Money

The payment for Qualifying night team appearance and elimination races is:
● North Island Teams - $2500
● South Island Teams - $3500

The Teams will consist of 6 Stockcars, and at least one Team Manager:

Event Format:
12 Team Format:
The 12 teams have been split into four groups of three, with each side racing the
other two teams in their pool on Saturday night. Points are awarded to the top
five places in each 10-lap race as follows: 100, 40, 25, 20, 10.

The top point scorer in each group will advance to the Tier 1 semi-finals on
Sunday, with the second placed team in the pool moving to the Tier 2 semi-finals.
Semi-final points are also awarded to the top 5 place getters 100, 40, 25, 20, 10.

The race for fifth and sixth overall will be between the losing Tier 1 semi-final
team who scored the least points against the winning Tier 2 semi-final team who
scored the least points. The race for third and fourth overall will be between the
losing Tier 1 semi-final team who scored the most points against the winning Tier
2 semi-final team who scored the most points.

The two winners of the Tier 1 semi-finals will race each other in the final.

13 Team Format:
The 13 teams each have two races on Saturday night, with the team’s scoring
points over both races to find the finalists. The top four teams from last season
were seeded prior to the random draw so they would not face each other. Points
are awarded to the top five finishers in each 10-lap race as follows: 100, 40, 25,
20, 10.

The top four point scoring teams will advance to the Tier 1 semi-finals on
Sunday, with the next four highest scoring teams moving to the Tier 2 semi-
finals. Semi-final points are also awarded to the top 5 place getters 100, 40, 25,
20, 10. The finals are first across the line.

The race for fifth and sixth overall will be between the losing Tier 1 semi-final
team who scored the least points, against the winning Tier 2 semi-final team who
scored the least points. The race for third and fourth overall will be between the
losing Tier 1 semi-final team who scored the most points, against the winning
Tier 2 semi-final team who scored the most points.

The two winners of the Tier 1 semi-finals will then face each other in the final.

Should two teams be equal on points a 4 lap run off, of two cars from each team,
will determine the winner.
Points are awarded as follows: 1st 100, 2nd 40, 3rd 25, 4th 20, 5th 10
Teams will comprise of six Stockcars, up to 4 cars from each team will compete
in a Teams Race.

Those finishing outside the top 8 will have Consolation Stockcar races available
on night two
