Main Activities

1. Pupils look at Student’s Book page 78


2. Teacher elicits responses on the 5 pictures, polar region, ocean, jungle, desert and mountain.
3. In groups, pupils discuss about what colours are they based on the 5 habitats.
4. Teacher gives example, “The polar regions are white and blue.’ and drills the sentence structure for a few times.
5. Each group takes turn to present.
Key: The ocean is blue, green and white. The jungle is green and brown. The desert is yellow. The mountains are grey, white and green.
6. Pupils refer to the second part of Student’s Book page 78.
7. Teacher elicits responses on ‘What do you find in the habitats?’.
8. Teacher gives example, “You find sand in the desert.” and drills on the sentence pattern.
9. In groups, pupils discuss the answer and take turn to present.
10. Teacher assesses pupils on speaking skill.
11. Teacher facilitates.
12. Pupils refer to Work Book page 78.
13. Pupils write the missing letters on the 5 habitats.
14. Pupils match the 5 words with the 5 pictures of habitats.
