Govemment, relative to the 8th lntemational Conference on Children and Young Adults
Librarianship to be conducted by the National Library of the Philippines on October 14,
?AZJ,, at Sison Auditorium, Lingayen, Pangasinan, with the theme: "lCYMl: Libraries
and Community are Co.Partners in Advancing Exemplary Children and Young Adults
Library Services!'

The conferen@ aims to enhance the knowledge, skills, and attitudes of librarians in
developing and improving children and young adult library services and feature
presentations on best prac{i@s, innovative programs, and sustainable future initiatives
for libnaries, both domestically and intemationally.

ln view thereof, all Local Chief Executives are hereby encouraged to allor the
participation of their local govemment officials, librarians and other interested stafi to
attend and participate in the said conferenoe. Payment of conesponding travel and
accommodation expenses may be authorized, chargeable against local funds, subject
to the usual accounting and auditing requirements.
