TO PLANT 11 LAKH SAPLINGS IN INDORE
LUCKNOW: As part of its pledge to plant and nurture 100
million trees by FY30, the Adani Group has joined forces
with the Madhya Pradesh Government and will be provid-
ing 11 lakh saplings, out of 51 lakh trees to be planted in
Indore. The green drive is in line with the group's commit-
ment to a sustainable future. Expressing concerns over the
rising temperatures recorded this year, Chief Minister of
Madhya Pradesh Mohan Yadav and Cabinet Minister, Mad-
hya Pradesh, Kailash Vijayvargiya had taken a pledge to
plant 5.5 crore trees across 55 districts in the state. This is
part of the larger ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign initiated
by the Prime Minister with a target to plant 1.4 billion trees
across the country. Of the 51 lakh trees that would be plant-
ed in Indore, the Adani Group will provide 11 lakh saplings.
The saplings would be of 25 different species that would
help create biodiversity in the city’s green zone.

Minister Yogi Adityanath's
vision for planned and sus-
tainable development of
Bundelkhand, which has
faced decades of neglect,
the Uttar Pradesh govern-
ment is developing the
longest solar park on both
sides of the Bundelkhand
Expressway.
This solar park will cover
approximately 1,700 hect-
ares and will be developed
under the 'Build, Own, and
Operate' (BOO) model, un-
der the supervision of the
Uttar Pradesh Expressways
Industrial Development Au-
thority (UPEIDA). In August
of last year, UPEIDA invit-
ed Expressions of Interest
for a pre-feasibility study,
during which nine organiza-
tions made presentations.
Among them, M/s Global
Energy Alliance for Peo-
ple and Planet submitted
a comprehensive report
to UPEIDA officials in Feb-
ruary this year, which was
recently presented to the
Chief Minister.
According to the report,
UPEIDA has allocated
1,700 hectares of land for
the solar park, located be-
tween the main carriage-
way and the service road
along the 296 km Bun-
delkhand Expressway from
Etawah to Chitrakoot. The
land's average width is be-
tween 15 to 20 meters. The
solar radiation in this area
ranges from 5 to 5.5 kWh
per square meter per day.
Developing the solar park
is estimated to cost over
2,500 crores. There will be
provisions in place to allot
land to companies on a 25-
year lease basis.
The solar park being de-
veloped on both sides of
the Bundelkhand Express-
way will be able to produce
450 Megawatts of ener-
gy, sufficient to meet the
needs of approximately 1
lakh consumers. Along the
extensive Bundelkhand Ex-
pressway spanning from Et-
awah to Chitrakoot, efforts
are also underway to estab-
lish an industrial corridor in
Banda and Jalaun.

seven years, the Railway
Protection Force (RPF) has
been at the forefront of an
operation named 'Nanhe
Faristey' – a mission dedi-
cated to rescuing children in
need of care and protection
across various Indian Rail-
way Zones. During last sev-
en years (2018- May 2024),
RPF has rescued 84,119
Children who were at risk in
stations and trains, prevent-
ing them from falling into
harm's way.
'Nanhe Faristey' is more
than just an operation; it is a
lifeline for thousands of chil-
dren who find themselves in
precarious situations. The
data from 2018 to 2024 il-
lustrates a story of unwaver-

and resilience. Each rescue
is a testament to the RPF's

The year 2018 marked
a significant start for 'Op-
eration Nanhe Faristey.' In
this year, the RPF rescued a
total of 17,112 children, in-
cluding both boys and girls.
Out of 17,112 children res-
cued, 13,187 were identi-
fied as runaway children, an
alarming number of 2105
were found to be missing,
1091 children as left be-
hind, 400 as destitute, 87
as kidnapped, 78 as men-
tally challenged and 131
as street children. This year
2018 set a strong founda-
tion for the operation, high-
lighting the urgent need for
such an initiative.
During 2019, the RPF's
efforts continued to bear
fruit, with a total of 15,932
children, including both boys
and girls were rescued. Out
of 15,932 children rescued,
12,708 as runaway children,
1454 as missing, 1036 chil-
dren as left behind, 350 as
destitute, 56 as kidnapped,
123 as mentally challenged
and 171 as street children.
The consistent numbers
showcased the persistent is-
sue of children running away
and needing protection.
The year 2020 was chal-
lenging due to the COVID-19
pandemic, which disrupted
normal life and significant-
ly impacted the operations.
Despite these challenges,
the RPF managed to rescue
5,011 children.

Sources indicate that Kumar,

ate from NIT Jamshedpur,
allegedly stole the examina-
tion paper from the National
Testing Agency’s trunk in Bi-
