2012 Team TIBCO Calendar
To our Fans and Partners: A new season is upon us our seventh as Team TIBCO and its a big one: 2012 means the London Olympics, something that will provide an undercurrent for all we do this year. We enter the new season with great optimism, having come off another successful season that continued the Teams growth and prominence on the international stage. The Team posted numerous top-10 finishes in some of the biggest races in Europe, and the season culminated with rising star Megan Guarnier winning the overall title at the prestigious Giro Toscana in Italy. Along the way, Canadian Tara Whitten took home her third World Track Championship title, repeating her 2010 championship in the Omnium. Everybody knows shell be the rider to beat for gold in the Omnium in London. Samantha Schneider also collected her third U23 U.S. National Championship, this time in the road race. For 2012, the Team has added even more depth, including reigning Canadian National Road Champion Veronique Fortin. We also welcome back 2010 Team member and another rising international star, Amanda Miller. The Team also added stage racer Lindsay Myers to lend support to Miller and returning rider Erinne Willock. We also bolstered the sprint corps, signing on seasoned sprinter Lauren Hall and developing talent Jen Purcell, who rode onto the podium at the Liberty Classic in 2011. To support all our riders Olympic ambitions, the Team will contest two blocks of racing in Europe in the Spring, with the intent of collecting as many UCI points for the U.S. as possible so that we can achieve the goal of a full four-rider squad for the road race. And, of course, well continue to focus on winning the USA Cycling NRC and NCC titles again this year. Extended Developments Were also proud to be able to continue the highly successful Team TIBCO Juniors and Team TIBCO II amateur squad again for 2012. The Juniors did a fine job of adding to their National Title haul, led by a pair of younger sisters of elite-team members: Alexis Ryan and Skylar Schneider, who both collected two titles each. Both juniors are back, along with Aliya Traficante, Page Robertson and new additions, Shannon Bhatia and Bailey Semian. Team TIBCO II, our NorCal amateur team, enjoyed tremendous success in the Bay Area Womens Cycling (BAWC) series in 2011. The Team took the top spot in the Cat 3 team category, while Bobbi Jo Price was the top-ranked individual rider in Cat 3, and Ann Kodani was 5th. Jill Eyres finished 2011 as the number-one ranked individual rider in Cat 4. Team TIBCO II will expand again for 2012, with continued domination of the BAWC Series a top goal. Sponsors = Success None of the success weve experienced throughout our first six seasons, and hopefully again in our seventh, would be remotely possible without the support of our fans and especially, our sponsors. Were proud to say that TIBCO will be entering their seventh year as title sponsor, and key contributor SVB Financial its sixth. We owe them a tremendous debt of gratitude. Right along with them is SRAM, who has been with our Team since 2007, and has shown year in and year out to be a tremendous supporter of our Team, and womens cycling overall. Were also excited to have yet another strong proponent of womens cycling, Specialized, back for 2012. So were guaranteed to once again be on the best bikes in the world, and once again have them rolling on Reynolds wheels and Maxxis tires. Of course, well also have the best team cars again this year, thanks to Volvo. And finally, wed like to thank everyone who has supported the Team and the cycling community through the Silicon Valley Cycling Foundation. That support is critical to our goal of developing top international athletes, and we wouldnt be where we are today without it. If youd like to continue that support again this season, you can do so at siliconvalleycyclingfoundation.org. Thank you all for being part of our success and history. We cant wait to make more of both with you in 2012. Hopefully, well see you along the way.

Team TIBCO is a family of three teams totaling nearly 50 women: Team TIBCO, our UCI team; Team TIBCO II, our amateur team, and Team TIBCO Juniors, our junior team. Team TIBCO traces its origins back to the Palo Alto Bicycle Shop in 2002. Olympian Linda Jackson became involved with the team in 2005, with the goal of helping aspiring female athletes to achieve their full potential. In just four years, Team TIBCO reached the top. In 2009, the team won the USA Cycling NRC team title and was named VeloNews 2009 Womens Team of the Year. The teams mission is to provide a long-term platform for its riders to reach their full potential in local, national and international competitions, while serving as role models for youth across the world as we pursue our ambition of qualifying athletes for the Oympic games.
Erinne Willock drives the pace on the front at the Tour of Elk Grove. Team TIBCO was a regular sight at the front of all the races we contested in 2011. That will continue in 2012 as we pursue our ambition of having riders making the London Olympics.
