Fabric
Selection of 5/8 yards in pink, purple, orange, yellow, green &
blue
1 1/2 yards for borders
1/2 yard for binding
4 yards for backing
Steam-a-Seam
Measurement is based on 40 “ wide fabric
1/4” seam allowances included

Cutting Instructions
Cut 30, 9 1/2” squares for the centre blocks
Cut 2, 1” x 7 1/4” and 2, 1” x 8” inner border per block
Cut 2, 1 1/2” x 9 1/2” and 2, 1 1/2” x 8” outer border per block
Cut 1” & 2 1/2” wide strips for borders.

Quilt Assembly
Following steam-a-seam instructions create 30 hearts and apply to centre blocks. Stitch around
each heart using your preferred method.
Sew inner borders to centre block. Complete by sewing second border on to each block.
Sew blocks together into rows. Sew rows together.
Measure quilt then cut borders to fit.
Sew borders on and complete quilt using your preferred method.
