USE OF FORCE REPORT

On Wednesday, January 6, 2021, at approximately 1150 hours, R01 Kevin Ryan was in CVC North Screening, 1st Street NW, when
th&y heard a priority radio call from CDU units for demonstrators breaching the fencing around the Capitol complex. RO1 obtained a
COU shield an responded to the Wast Front of the U.S. Capitol where they observed demonstrators forcefully push over Iha bike rack
perimeter, throw projedila objects, push against officers, and use what appaantd to be pesticide spray and bear spray against officers.
RO1 and fellow officers gave verbal warnings of ''Get back" as the aowd pushed RO1 and fellow officers further towards the U.S.
Capitol. R01 and fallow officers delivered striking blows and attempted to push back the crowd of demonstrators.

Inside the Capitol Building, a large, unruly demonstration crowd breached multiple locations from outside the building. RO1 responded
inside to push the crowd out and to help re-secure the building. Multiple unknown subjects assaulted both USCP and MPD officers as
they attempted to remove the aowd. R01 used physical strikes and verbal warnings to gain a:,mplianc:e from the violent
demonstrators. USCP units along with other law enforcement agencies, worked together to close the doors end blockade open entry
points. All internal security threala from the unknown violent demonstrators were removed front tha building at approximately 1730
hours

No injuries were reported to RO1 by any subjects who were impaded by use of any fofce administered by RO1.
