On 01-06-2021 at approximately 1420 hours RO (WAHL, Nathan). responded to the breach of the Capitol by protesters
in the Crypt of the United States Capitol, at 1 First Street NE, Washington, DC. Officers made a police line to prevent
further movement through the Capitol Building. In response to the police presence, protesters began acting
aggressively, pushing and shoving officers, as well as throwing objects, in an attempt to breach and break up the police
line. In response to this aggressive behavior, RO deployed their ASP baton and used it to push back against protesters
to help prevent the breach of the police line. No protesters were struck with the ASP baton. Once the police line was
breached, RO returned the ASP baton to Its holster for safe keeping and it was not drawn again during the incident.
