USE OF FORCE REPORT

On January 6th, 2021 at 1350 hours I, Officer Reggie Tyson, was at the US Capitol lobby west of the house floor while
the US Congress was in session. I heard on the radio that the protest located on the west front of the Capitol was
being breached and a protesters had made their way into the capitol. The officers was informed on tha radio to lock
down the house floor with all of the Congressional members inside the chambers. The protesters came around to the
east front of the capitol where they was able to make their way forcefully Into the rotunda. While in the rotunda there was
tear gas sprayed which caused the members and the officers to put on gas masks. Myself and other officers proceed to
barricade the doors of the house main door and the lobby east and west leading to the house floor.

At about 1440 the protesters made it to the house main door where they broke out windows on the door. At that time
the officers proceed to remove all the members out of the chambers to a safe place after moving the barricade located
at the lobby west. After all of the members exited the floor and officer spoke out on the radio of" shots fired~. In the
attempt to protect myself I pulled my firearm out of the holster and made my way to the lobby east side of the capitol,
along with Lt. Mike Byrd and Sgt Paul McKenna engages the protesters. Protesters was breaking out windows and door
window where It was barricaded and started moving the furniture to try to breach the US House floor. A protester tried
to climb through a broken window where she was shot one time as she fell back and i proceed to have my firearm out es
I scanned the area until i deemed that it was a safe environment and I reholstered my firearm and we exited the house
floor.
