300 and 1700 hours I responded to the West Front of the Capitol for massive
protest activities. Upon arrival, I used open hand control techniques to subdue a protester who had climbed the south
side stage scaffolding. He was handcuffed and arrested by members of the FRU. On the lower west terrace, I used my
baton several times to strike protesters who attempted to breach the police line and who were using force against our
officers and MPD officers. Inside the rotunda, I again used my baton to strike protesters who refused to exit the rotunda
door and who were using force against officers. At the rotunda door, I used a fellow officers QC spray to keep the
protesters from reentering the rotunda door after we had pushed them out, because my own QC spray had been used
by SGT Nicholas of the FRU division.

My uses of force did not result In any known i11uries to the protesters at the time of their occurrence, and no protesters
asked for medical treatment.
