USE OF FORCE REPORT

On 1-6-2021 at approximately 1200 hours I was deployed to the West front of the Capitol for a violent protest. As I
arrived 1witnessed many officers were already being attacked. I began to hold the line the best I could by using verbal
commands. Protesters then started grabbing at my equipment, the bike racks, and using chemical sprays on officers. At
this time I deployed my ASP baton and struck Individuals that were attempting to grab my gear in their arms, legs, and
abdomen. I also used empty-hand control techniques In order to try and gain compliance as well as keep myself and
fellow officers safe.
