Sportsmanship Guidelines:

It is the duty of every person involved in Athletics to follow the Athletic Code of Responsibility: To emphasize and exercise the proper ideals of sportsmanship, ethical conduct and fair play; l To eliminate all influence and impulses that tend to destroy the best values of the game; l To stress the value derived from playing the game fairly; l To behave courteously toward visiting teams and officials; l To establish a cordial relationship between visitors and hosts; l To respect the integrity and judgment of sports officials; l To achieve a thorough understanding and acceptance of the rules of the game and standards of eligibility; l To encourage leadership and good judgment by the members of the team; l To recognize that the purpose of athletics is to promote the physical, mental, moral, social and emotional well being of the individual players; l To remember that an athletic contest is only a game and not a matter of life or death for any player coach, school, official, fan, or community.
