PRAYER AND PRAISE

Pray that the Lord would heal Jim Baker of all his cancer and other illnesses, and restore the strength of his youth. Pray that Jims family find strength and peace over the Christmas season. May they enjoy the blessings of the Lord, be they big or small and that their love for each other would sustain them all. Praise the Lord that Sharilyn's Dad's scans have come back showing no signs of Cancer in the area of concern. Please pray that the Lord would draw new families to our church this Christmas season through ministries like the Community Christmas Celebration. Christians in Egypt are calling on believers around the th world to make 12 December a day of prayer for the nation. A number of important church leaders from all denominations believe that God is preparing for a major revival in the Middle East with Egypt as the epicentre. Pray for an end to the violence and that God will accomplish His will and purposes in the country. Pray, too, that churches and believers will demonstrate the love of Jesus.

The Preschool ministry begins at the start of the service in the Creche, and 5-13 year olds are dismissed part way through the service for Sunday School. Information on who we are, as well as on all of our ministries are available online at www.whac.net.nz Each week, we share a cuppa together after the service, and would love for you to stay for a chat.

You can be a BIG part of it too!

The Community Christmas Celebration is a chance for all of us to get involved in blessing and helping our community; to truly be a part of something that the Lord will use to build bridges of faith into the lives of those around us. As such, we're looking for people to help in the following ways: Three people to help bake and assemble gingerbread houses, and bag lollies the week leading up to the Celebration. Three people to fill water balloons and prepare a craft for the kids the day of the Celebration. Four people to work in the kitchen, cutting meat, fruit and dessert the day of the Celebration. Two people to set up the hall the day of the Celebration. Three people to help the magician/ventriloquist during the service by supervising, plus lead a craft. A small army to help clean up following the Celebration.

The Community Christmas Celebration, 17TH December 2011

The evening is completely free, however, please plan to bring a salad and dessert to share with our guests.

Please stay for a cup of tea or coffee in the hall or for prayer with an Elder in the Sanctuary.

Christmas Weekend
With Christmas being a Sunday morning, we know that many of you will be spending time with friends and family all over NZ. And so, to make life a little less hectic, we will be hosting identical services on Christmas Eve from 7:00 (followed by a light supper), and Christmas morning from 10:30 (starting with morning tea). You are all welcome to join us at whatever time suits you best.

Tonga in 2012
Last winter, 13 people from Alliance churches in Auckland spent 10 God-filled days in the Kingdom of Tonga, and we're doing it again in 2012! We'll be working with a ministry for disabled children, a local and vibrant Tongan congregation, and with the powerful Christian radio ministry in the capital city. If you'd like to find out more about what's to come, an information meeting is being planned for you in early February.
