6100 Hot Melt ST* Bayonet Connector

Quick Instructions
Mounting Jacketed
1. Load connector into holder and place in Hot Melt Oven. (Heat for no more than ten minutes). Slide boot onto cable. Cut and remove 7/8" (22 mm) of jacket. Strip fiber with modified No-Nik tool to leave 1/8" (3 mm) buffer. Clean with isopropyl alcohol** and lint-free cloth. Cut Kevlar strands to 3/16" (5 mm) length. Remove connector and holder from oven. Insert fiber and Kevlar fibers straight into connector. Cool in rack for 2 3 minutes. Carefully follow safety, health and environmental information on container label or Material Safety Data Sheet for isopropyl alcohol. 1.

Mounting 900 m Buffer


Load connector into holder and place in Hot Melt Oven. (Heat for no more than ten minutes). Slide boot and strain relief tube onto cable. Strip off 3/4" (19 mm) of buffer. Clean with isopropyl alcohol** and lint-free cloth. Remove connector and holder from oven. Insert fiber and strain relief tube into connector. Cool in rack for 2 3 minutes.

**Note:

Polishing
1. 2. 3. Note: Remove connector and holder, score fiber with flat carbide blade, pull fiber straight up to detach, shorten by hand polishing with polishing film if necessary. Perform 1-step polish using soft rubber pad to remove all adhesive. Clean connector and inspect.
