Heat Transfer Science Poster

Using an 8 ½”x11” piece of printer paper, you must show your understanding of the three types of heat transfer:
convection, conduction, and radiation. You must use pictures and writing to show the extent of your
understanding.

Your poster must include a sketch diagram and labeling of an example of each type of heat transfer (3 total). Your
sketches should be in color and labeled with important scientific vocabulary showing how the heat transfer is
taking place.

At the bottom of your poster, you should explain in a color-coded paragraph (green= claim, yellow= evidene, red=
reasoning) explaining what the three different types of heat transfer are. A simple topic sentence could be: There
are three different types of heat transfer. You should make sure you use a power outline so your information is
well organized, but you do not need to turn that in.

vocabulary.
3 This picture is drawn, but may look messy. It follows some diagram and labeling rules, but not all.
It shows a limited understanding of the type of heat transfer. It is colored, but may be messy. It uses
little scientific vocabulary
