Competition:
The Worshipful Company of Chartered Architects (WCCA), and the Commonwealth Association of Architects (CAA), invite architects and students of architecture in the Commonwealth to participate in an international design competition for a 3D pop up Diamond Jubilee card for HM The Queen. The winning card will be delivered to HM The Queen by the Worshipful Company of Chartered Architects to celebrate her (60th) Diamond Jubilee. The winner will be awarded a prize of 60.00 to cover their materials costs, and two invitations to the Annual WCCA Livery Banquet in the City of London, at which their achievement will be recognised with a framed Certificate.
Method:
The competition is being administered by WCCA, in partnership with the CAA There is no fee to enter the competition. An international short-list of high quality designs, comprising 10% of the total number of card entries, will be selected by a jury including WCCA members, The Master of the WCCA and the Executive Director of CAA. The short listed cards will be displayed at a prestigious venue in the City of London, and the overall winner will be selected by a public vote of visitors to that venue over a two week period, and by electronic vote via the competition website.
