**TEACHERS - The Franklin County Education Foundations Educational Enrichment Teacher Mini-Grant applications are available online at www.FranklinCountyEducationFoundation.com or at the school district website. The applications are due via e-mail (to FC-EF@hotmail.com) on December 19th. They should be sent as a scanned PDF so that all signatures are included. The original should be placed in the Foundations mailbox at the front office. The theme this year is Energy consumption and conservation. We are especially requesting cross-disciplinary projects that culminate in a display, art show, classroom fair, or trips with a grade or school sharing project. GED CLASSES
GED Classes are now available through the TIGERS program at the Carrabelle & Apalachicola libraries. The next GED Test will be given Feb. 27 & 28, 2012 at the Franklin County School library at 6:00pm. To register for the test contact Maxine Creamer @ 670-4481. The Franklin County Adult Education Courses do not discriminate based on race, color, religion, sex, National origin, age, handicap, or marital status.
**The Federal McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act states that children & youth who lack a
fixed, regular, & adequate nighttime residence are considered homeless. If, due to a loss of housing, a child must live in a shelter, motel, vehicle, campground, on the street, in abandoned buildings, or doubled-up with relatives or friends, then he/she is eligible to receive services provided under the McKinney-Vento Act.
