Application Instructions
How to apply
1. Apply through the Law School Admission Council at LSAC.org or via hard copy application. If you require a paper application, please email your request to lawadmissions@law.fordham.edu, with your name and mailing address and we will send you one within the week. Remember to either certify your signature if you apply electronically or sign and date the application, if you mail it in. Electronic applications are strongly preferred. Include a personal statement no longer than two pages, double spaced. This statement can be on a topic of your choosing. This allows you to demonstrate your ability to communicate effectively and concisely. Include a professional resume that clearly outlines your employment history. Provide optional letters of recommendation. Fordham Law School does not require applicants to submit letters of recommendation, however most do. If you submit letters, please do so through the LSAC Letter of Recommendation Service that is included as part of the Credential Assembly Service registration. Your letters will be photocopied and sent to us with your LSAC Law School Report. Enclose a nonrefundable check or money order in the amount of $70 (payable to Fordham Law School). If you are applying electronically through LSAC, you will need to pay this fee with a major credit card.

Eligibility
Applicants for admission as candidates for the degree of Juris Doctor must: 1. 2. Be at least 18 years of age upon entering the first-year class. Have graduated from an American college or university accredited by an agency approved by the American Bar Association. Note: Applicants who have earned a baccalaureate degree in a foreign country will need to demonstrate that the degree earned is the equivalent of a US four-year baccalaureate degree. Applicants must submit their academic transcripts to LSAC's Credential Assembly Service (CAS). This service is included in the Credential Assembly Service registration fee. An International Credential Evaluation will be incorporated into your LSAC Law School Report. Not have been dismissed from another law school regardless of the time elapsed since the dismissal. Have taken the Law School Admission Test (LSAT) within the past five years. Every applicant must also register with the Credential Assembly Service.
