Seasonal greetings from Christ the King and Zion Lutheran

75

Pastor Nate Loer and family wish all of you a very merry Christmas.

Warm holiday wishes from Christ the King and Fr. Peter, Pastor.

For many of us, we get caught up in the hustle and bustle of the season. There are cards to be sent, cookies to be baked, gifts to wrap, places to go and people to see. Not to mention everything that is part of our normal lives. Sometimes life seems so busy. It is not that we choose for this to happen; it just happens. At times like this, we need to

pause and remember that God wants to be part of our lives. We need to remember that God loves us, and that God came to be with us. It has now been five years since I had the opportunity to travel to the Holy Land on pilgrimage. Yet, it is at this time of the year that I recall visiting Bethlehem and kissing the star that

marks the birth of Jesus. For Christians all over the world, Christmas recalls this wonderful event. Some people might debate if Jesus was truly born in a stable. Others might try and deny him entirely. For Christians, Christmas recalls a time of peace when God entered the world. Might I encourage you to take a minute and pause? Even if you dont feel the presence of God, might you pause? Take a minute to breathe. Feel

the fresh air come into your lungs. Relax. If you want, you might think of the presence of God in your life. Think of the child Jesus, and how Jesus is the reason for the season. On behalf of Christ the King Catholic Church of Browerville, St. Joseph Catholic Church of Clarissa, and St. Joseph Catholic Church of Bertha, I extend warm Christmas blessings to you and your family. May the peace of Christ be with you this year and remain with you always. ~Fr. Peter, Pastor
