Just Around The Corner...

As Seen On TV I have always enjoyed commercials for the main reason is they have only 60 seconds or less to state their case that you should buy their product or service. The more memorable the commercial is the more apt you are to buy their product. Lately I have noticed that more and more products in stores are carrying As Seen On TV. I pondered those words and thought what were they really saying. Here is what I came up with, As Seen On TV says, The The The The The product product product product product will work as stated is innovative is cost effective will solve your needs is a must have We know the truth of Jesus Christ will not carry mans slogan of As Seen On TV. So how will the lost know the truth, simply by you showing them the Truth. There is nothing special, there is nothing you need to carry, there is only the warm handshake saying I want to be your friend. Come to the Prayer Breakfast on January 21st where our focus will be praying for the community and our Local Outreach to it Dan Schmucker Mens Ministry

Philippians 4:8 says, Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. KJV I then wonder why the things of God dont carry As Seen On TV. Does the Gospel of Jesus Christ carry the slogan As Seen On TV? Does the Bible carry the slogan As Seen On TV? Does Salvation carry he slogan As Seen On TV? The answer is, well you know the answer. The one thing that can be said about the Truth is once you know it, it can never be taken away. Once you know the truth it never fades, it never rusts and it is always pure. 1 Peter 3:15-16 says But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear; having a good conscience, that when they defame you as evildoers, those who revile your good conduct in Christ may be ashamed. In the book of Judges, a cycle is repeated many times: The Israelites do what is evil in the sight of the LORD, God hands them over to an enemy nation, they cry out to the Lord and he appoints a judge, or political/military leader, for them. Under the judges leadership, the Israelites conquer their adversary and prosper until they start doing what is evil in the sight of the LORD all over again. Who was not one of these judges? A. Deborah; B. Ehud; C. Esau; D. Shamgar

A Nutty Explanation A young pastor tried to comfort a widow as they stood looking at her husbands body in a casket. I know this is very hard for you, he said. But we Christians have hope. The body is only a husk. It is only the shell. It is what we see. But the nut that was in the shell has already gone to heaven.
