The driver is the raging beast of the golf arsenal. This club is almost always the most fun to use, because it travels the furthest. Although the driver goes the furthest, it is also the most inaccurate, which makes it the hardest club to hit. Drivers that are made today are at the maximum size allowed by the USGA.

drivers

Before technology swept throug the game of golf, players would use wooden clubs to play with. The 3 wood and 5 wood are typically called fairway woods, but today they are made of metal. Some commentators will call them fairway metals, but most people still call them woods. These clubs are almost always used from the fairway and sometimes off of the tee. When it comes to distance the 3 wood comes in second right behind the driver.
