y Local residents consider it a sacred mountain. It teems with legend and superstitions. It has been the home to countless members of religious, cults, hermits, soul searchers, spiritist and faith healers who climbs its slopes to meditate in juts cave and commune with the mountain spirits. It became a tourist spot but has been closed due to damage done of these explorers/devotees. Mt. Banahaw contains the biggest forests in Southern Tagalog, the national park contains game animals, such as wild pigs, deer, monkeys, and game birds such as hornbills, pigeons, jungle fowls, tailor birds, wag tails, orioles, brown doves, parakeets and coucals. Giant rats, wild cats and reptiles such as snakes, pythons and ground lizards are also seen in the area. It is home to tree species such as res lauan, tanguile and mayapis, while plant species like rattan,, vines, grasses, club mosses, ferns and other aerial plants are abundant in the park. It is where rafflesia grows which is one of the rarest and most astonishing flowers in the world, including the very largest and can be found before only in Borneo and Sumatra.

y y y y Fourth highest mountain in the Philippines The Kitanglad mountain range is very rich in biodiversity It is the domain of several old cultural communities like the Bukidnon, Higaonon and Talaandig. Mt. Kitangklad Range Natural Park (MKNRP) has a unique ecological diversity characterized by a combination and interplay of human communities, connected landscapes, immense natural diversity of its flora and fauna, and its contribution to national economy and heritage It is also a major watershed providing water for power generation, irrigation, and domestic use for the provinces of Bukidnon and Misamis Oriental. Mt. Kitanglad Range forms the headwater catchments area of several major river systems draining North and Central Mindanao. Among these are the Cagayan, Tagoloan, and Pulangi Rivers It is home to a host of rare bird species like the serpent eagle, the red harrier, the Brahmin kite and the Philippine sparrow hawk to name a few.

Dulang Dulang y y y y Second highest mountain in the Philippines This mountain serves as a sacred place and ancestral domain to the Talaandig tribe of Lantapan in Bukidnon. There are also sightings of rare species and endemic wildlife such as the monkey-eating eagle known as the Great Philippine Eagle. this mountain in Bukidnon is home to more than 50 mammal species such as squirrels, monkeys, flying lemurs, and wild boars.

Kitanglad. y The fourth highest mountain in the Kitanglad Range, following the three giants of DulangDulang, Kitanglad, and Maagnaw, is the lofty and hitherto unexplored Mt. Tuminungan in Impagsug-ong, Bukidnon. Tuminungan is within the ancestral home to the Higaonon-Banwaon Tribe, the second largest cultural community in Bukidnon. Wild animals and flora are also in the area. The rich culture, biodiversity, and the appeal of exploration makes Tuminungan the next peak to conquer in Kitanglad range, which is getting more and more prestigious as more and more high mountains are added to its roster of illustrious climbing destinations.
