BRIEF: ISTD 2011- THE WAITRESS To explore how the format of the book can work as a magazine.

CONCEPT: I wanted to focus on the way people read magazines over booksby skim reading or scanning over sections. Also the story of The waitress by Jack Zipes was a fairly tale, in which there is the quote people see only what they want see, this to me defined how people read a magazine rather than the sequential of reading a book. Therefore I explored splitting up the layout of the story to reflect this reading pattern.
