Know Each Other Goals: To help a group evaluate its own functioning. To provide a way to examine objectively the participation of group members. To explore norms that has developed in-group which has been meeting for some time which has been meeting for some time. Group size: 8-12 members. Time : Varies. Materials: 1) Group climate survey inventory. 2) Pencils. 3) Newsprints and markers. Physical setting: Participants should be seated comfortably for writing, where they can see the posted results. Process: The inventory focuses on some aspect of group life which facilitator may wish to discuss a general process is suggested for use of inventories. 1) After a typical meeting of an ongoing group, the facilitator distributes the copies. 2) After completion, the data is presented on newsprint. 3) The facilitator leads a discussion of eliciting instances of behavior trends. He may offer appropriate theory material during an analytical stage. 4) Group members are asked to plan new behavior for next meeting in light feelings.
