Opening Statement The recent oods in Thailand have caused a lot of damage to property, businesses and people have

lost their lives. The ood victims do not only have to worry about the ood water but have to be careful of 15 deadly green mamba snakes that escaped from a ooded house in Nonthaburi. These snakes are now on the loose and can bite and kill anyone at anytime.

Argument 1: Topic Sentence - Green mamba snakes are from africa and should not be in thailand. Elaboration The green mamba snake is a rare and very dangerous type of snake found in Africa. These snakes can grow up to 2 meters. They are very fast and extremely poisonous. They are yellowish green in color. These type of snakes are never found in Thailand, so how did they get here? I think that these snakes were smuggled into Thailand by people who wanted to sell them for a lot of money and make prot. These people probably didn't realize how dangerous these snakes are. They put other peoples lives in danger by smuggling them into Thailand. We don't have the antivenin available in Thailand for this kind of snake bite.

Argument 2: Topic Sentence - What should you do if you get bitten by a mamba snake. Elaboration Mamba snakes are very venomous. A person who is bitten gets drowsy and could die in 20 minutes. The rst thing to do if bitten is to clean the wound gently with soap and water. Then tie a piece of cloth at least 7cm above the bite. A second piece of cloth should be tied 7cm above the rst cloth. The wound should not be squeezed or cut.The victim should be rushed to the hospital. Before this problem of green mamba snakes escaping during the oods, we did not have the antivenin for this kind of snake. But luckily the government bought the antivenin when they heard about the escaping of these snakes. The medicine cost a lot of money. Each vile cost THB 300,000.

Argument 3: Topic Sentence - People who smuggle these snake into Thailand should be punished Elaboration I think the people who illegally smuggle these kind of dangerous snakes should be punished. I think they should pay a big ne and also go to jail. The reason I think they should do this is because it is against the law to smuggle venomous and rare snakes. It is also very bad because these people are putting everyone else's life in danger just because they are selsh and want to make money.

Conclusion : Firstly Thailand should set up a team of snake experts to catch all of the snakes and arrange them to be sent to Africa. Secondly the government should improve the security system and have strict laws, big nes and punish the people who bring these kind of snakes
