Happy Holidays! Our favourite time of the year is upon us and we look forward to sharing the spirit of the season with you! Steven is half way through his program, is excited to be starting his practicum soon and tells us he thinks his instructor Gwen is great! Steven looks back on his decision to change careers with no regrets and is encouraged by the high marks he has been achieving in class.

Congratulations to CSWSS instructor, Jan Hull! A two year veteran of Sprott-Shaw, Jan brings a wealth of experience into the classroom with 12 years teaching and a strong background working in Human Service settings. Jan combines teaching at SprottShaw with managing a Bruce presents Jan with her certificate private family practice in Duncan and nurturing two young children as a foster parent. Jan tells us she truly loves her time in the classroom with adult learners and enjoys supporting students with developing skills to make a positive difference in others lives.

Ivy Kellow is a recent graduate of our business management program, and also completed our Spa Therapy program. Her new business is Coastal Essence Day Spa , located in Parksville, BC. It is the areas newest spa and is Ivy is pinned by instructor Ev as located on the beautiful Mornshe prepares to give a speech at ingstar Golf Course in the heart of the Fall Grad Ceremony Parksville. This peaceful escape offers nurturing spa treatments in a tranquil exclusive environment. Coastal Essence uses all natural and certified organic products in all of its treatments.

Practical Nurse Program Starts January 9/12

From Lanas Desk: Please bring to my office your Notice of Assessment from Student Loans and take the Master Loan Agreement to Canada Post as soon as you receive Lana Hunt, Financial Officer aka mom them. Two post office outlets in Nanaimo can process your loan, the main one on Wellington Road and the one in the same strip mall as our Nanaimo Campus, super convenient! You will need your Social Insurance Card (or a piece of government mail with your SIN on it), picture ID and a void cheque. Alternatively, you can take the Loan Agreement to your bank and they will fill in your bank account details). Please dont delay as the faster your document is processed then the faster your information will come up in the electronic system for processing. Are you thinking of becoming a Practical Nurse? Now is the time! The last 12-month offering of this program starts soon and there are a few seats still available. If you are a Resident Care AtPN student Kimberly and PN Instructor tendant looking to train as Carolynn practice skills in the nursing lab a Practical Nurse you could be eligible for a $3,200 grant, ask us for details.
