Dear Parents The revised morning arrangements seem to be working well and staff, pupils and many parents Ive spoken to have said it is a calmer start to the day. QUICK REMINDER As advised in the last newsletter voluntary contributions for swimming are now due. Cheques should be payable to Oxfordshire County Council please and thank you if you have already done so.

CONGRATULATIONS to the
absent from school for any reason, please dont forget to let us know. Absences are recorded in our registers with the appropriate reason code, i.e illness, holiday, medical appointment etc. Where no reason is given the absence is recorded as unauthorised and may be investigated by the Educational Welfare Officer. Book club has started again this term with a wide range of books, both fact and fiction, on offer. All children are welcome to come along and just browse and/or buy a book. Children can reserve books and save up by collecting book stamps towards their chosen book or buy books outright. Please ensure your child/ren brings their bookshop money in a sealed envelope with the quantity and name of the front.

HEALTHY EATING All children in Foundation, Year 1 and Year 2 are given a healthy snack Key Stage 2 children may bring in a healthy snack, no crisps or chocolate, if they wish.
Water Bottles. Just a quick reminder that we do encourage all children to bring a water bottle to
school each day. Water bottles (with a sports style top) can be kept on desks for continuous use during the day. We recommend the bottles be named!

PHOTOGRAPHY IN SCHOOL
From time to time children are photographed at school for internal displays and we would like to use these photos on our website. Occasionally, the local press may wish to use photographs to celebrate events happening in school. Unless you inform us to the contrary, we will assume that you are happy for your childs photo to be used in this way.
We are delighted that the children in Foundation and Key stage 1 have started cooking this term. Thank you to the SCPA for their kind donation for this project and to Mrs Daft and Mrs Holden for kindly volunteering to assist.
During the week commencing Monday 6 February 2012 we would like to invite parents, friends and families to share the childrens activities they have been enjoying at clubs this term details and times for you to pop in are below.
