(L-R) Dan Johnson, owner of Integra Tire, presents MREC Co-chair, Jon Lewis, with a cheque for $2,000.00.
SUBMITTED or a second year in a row, the staff of the local Integra Tire Store in Minnedosa has given a portion of their paycheques to Minnedosa Regional Events Centre. Th employees have $10.00 deducted off each e cheque and it is matched by the store owners, Dan and Gaylene Johnson. To date, this has totalled $3,300.00. Store Manager, Murray Birch says I wish more businesses would get involved this way and support this project. When you think about it, $10.00 per payday is less than one cup of coffee per day. Birch goes on to say, Employees in Minnedosa should get together and do this in their workplace with their co-workers also. Store owner, Dan Johnson said If a small business like this one can make a contribution like this, imagine how much can be raised if the rest of the community got involved in this same way?
