1. Ideation of Game
The game idea came about when our team was playing Stackopolis, which was a game from http://www.stackopolis.com/flash.html. We took the concept of building and add it on to Monopoly, a famous board game published by Parker Brothers, a subsidiary of Hasbro. And thus, you can see that this game is all about building and money.

2. Game Prototype
We first did some prototypes for our game concept using some paper, cardboards, cards, dice, glass tokens, etc. We find whatever we could for the prototypes, and editing it along the way to make it more precise and accurate, and when we have new ideas to make the game better.

3. Milestones of the Game

Decided on what game to modify - chose Stackopolis and Monopoly. Start on planning out how the game works. Decided on how the game goes and starts on writing out the rules of the game. The team decided to add on an additional player for the game. Made changes to the rules to accommodate to the additional player. Starts on building the prototype of the game using various materials that we can find.

After the paper prototype was done, we did play-testing and tried to balance the game. Re-adjusted the rules of the game so that it is more balanced. Started to buy materials for the final game. Went for material hunting in places like Daiso, Spotlight, etc. Found wooden blocks for the playing piece(s), wooden boards for playing mat, dice, paper cards (for game currency), etc. in Daiso and bookshop. Started on putting up the various materials together. Drew on the paper cards for game currency. Done with everything, placed them in a box and wrote the game name outside the box.

4.3 Rules of Stackopoly (Play flow)

The players will roll a D-6 die and the player with the highest roll goes first. The players will switch roles after each round is being played. Each player will get $20k at the start of the game and each builder will have 1 minute to complete each level. Each round consists of 2 turns; the player playing the saboteur will go first. During the saboteur's turn, he or she can choose to use minor/ major accident card or deceiver card. The prices of the cards are: Minor accident card - $1.5k, Major accident card $3k, Deceiver card $0. (The saboteur is to keep their cards face-down till the end of the builder's turn. Payment is done at the end of each round.) During the builder's turn, he or she can choose from a variety of cards (easy, medium or hard) of building he or she would like to build. On the card itself, there will be blueprint cost prices which the player has to bear in order to buy it. There will also be a minimum required amount of wooden block(s) stated. Last but not least, there will also

be a selling price where the player could sell his/ her building to the dealer (game master) to get the reward money. The builder does not necessary need to buy the exact amount of wooden blocks stated to build the building. As mentioned above, there are minor and major accident cards. These cards have the effect of causing accidents, which will remove (x) number of blocks depending the outcome of a die row. (Minor accident card will row a D-6; and a major accident card will row a D-12.) So the builder can buy extra blocks to prevent the saboteur from succeeding. (However, buying extra blocks each round will cost a fortune.) The saboteur can only use his or her card at the 30 seconds mark, and he/ she can only take out the top wooden blocks of any square in the board. If the builder manages to complete the building, he will earn $(x), where (x) is the value of the building's selling price as stated on the blueprint. The builder can only use 1 hand to carry 1 block at a time.
