INGREDIENTS: 8 cups cider 1 orange, thinly sliced 8 tsp. Hidden Victories of Prop 19 Defeat
California's Proposition 19 fell less than 3.9% short of victory, leaving many wondering why it did not get majority support as predicted in earlier polls. Ultimately, the failure to pass Prop 19 will prove to be less important than what was actually gained during the campaign. As the LA Times agreed, these hidden victories are the wave that will eventually end the disaster of marijuana prohibition in America.

CA Governor Signs SB 1449

The Prop 19 campaign forced Gov. Schwarzenegger to address the issue of wasting taxpayers money on simple possession charges and he signed Californias SB 1449, a law that moves possession of less than 1 oz. of marijuana to the same legal category as a traffic ticket.

Increase in Youth Voter Turnout

The LA Times has said that youth voters made up 13% of the electorate in this past election. This may seem low, but compared to the 2002 and 2006 elections, youth voter turnout was proportionally 16% greater than 2006 and 27% more than the 2002 figures.
