    Director Development Leadership Breakfasts: Leadership: The Alchemy of Profit


    Learn from the best. Breakfast at the finest.
    As part of your branchs mission to offer its members events that are productive, profitable and pleasurable we have instituted a series of four breakfast seminars at Blenheim Palace. Aimed at Director Development, the intention is help expand your knowledge and gain insight from other peoples experience. The theme for the series is Leadership. Each meeting will include a speaker to kick start debate, followed by a round table discussion for sharing opinions and learning from others. The format of the meetings follows one that has lead to great success by IoD Berkshire. Tea and coffee are served from 7.30, with a full cooked breakfast at 8.00 followed by a 20 minute talk and debate. The formal part of the meeting closes at 9.30 am. At the first meeting, the speaker is Bernard Cook who started his corporate life at Rank Hovis McDougal, rising to be a Board member and a divisional director of Mr Kipling the UKs largest cake brand. Subsequently Bernard has concentrated on independent chairmanships of private equity backed, mainly 3i and privately owned SMEs across a range of sectors.
