just meeting someone new or breaking the ice with a long-time connection will jar you from your funk and get you motivated to talk. Be in the right place at the right time. Just last week at AWC Skillshare, I ran into a community Angela Frizell member who was not only interested in being a member of AWC but who was hosting a Social Media Strategies event that would be beneficial to share with members. I was tired and almost didnt go, but it was one of the most productive times Ive had personally and professionally for some time! If you open your mind to the possibilities before you, you will grow, help others grow, and be the best communicator you can be. I hope you take advantage of the AWC events, community learning opportunities, and national connections before you! Never stop growing!

Geek. This event is for anyone interested in learning how to best position themselves online and is open to the entire Springfield community. Event attendees will discover how people are using social media to connect with potential jobs and how companies are using the power of social media to locate potential employees. Branding and social media go together well, yet theyre both widely misunderstood, said Kirk Baumann, Sr. Director of Career Connections at SIFE. While social media can serve as a gigantic megaphone for your brand, social media tools such as LinkedIn, Google Plus, Facebook and Twitter also give a person the ability to share his or her skill-set with the world. The program will begin at 7:30 pm at Drury University in the Finley Student Center, room 204. Interested attendees can RSVP on the events tab at http://www. facebook.com/SMC.SpringfieldMO The Social Media Club Springfield Chapter is a nonprofit organization committed to connecting media makers around the community to expand digital media literacy, promote standard technologies, encourage ethical behavior and share best practices. My M&Ms and ME
I have always liked M&Ms. The most diverse multicultural integrated candy in the world. You have your red ones, your yellow ones, your orange ones, your brown ones, your green ones, and your blue ones). All in one package, all coexisting TOGETHER. One color doesnt think that it is superior to the other. One color doesnt discriminate against the other. All colors are the same size, shape and weight. All colors look different on the outside but have the same ingredients on the inside. M&Ms all have the same flavor, and they all taste G-O-O-O-D. Not all M&Ms are perfect though, some have Nuts!!!. In the real world we call them racists, and bigots. Would it be nice if like M&Ms our prejudices, melted into the abyss like chocolate melts in our mouth? And all people were judged by what was inside rather than outside??? If candy can be prejudice free WHY CANT WE?
