Know the Key Note Speakers


Prahlad Kakar is a leading Indian ad film director, best known for his work on the famous Pepsi TV commercial with Amitabh Bachchan and Sachin Tendulkar. He is renowned for his candid and outspoken nature. An avid scuba diver, in 1995 he set up 'Lacadives', a scuba-diving school, along with his wife Mitali Kakar at Kadmat Island, in collaboration with the Govt. of Lakshadweep. He also runs a coffee shop, and Prahlad Kakar Casa Amore, a wine bar and restaurant, set up in Mumbai in 2001. Prahlad Kakar grew up in Mumbai and his father was an army colonel based in Pakistan. His mother is half Burmese and half Marathi. He passed out from Sainik School, Kunjpura, Karnal, and 1970, he graduated with Economics (Honors) from Fergusson College, Pune. In 1972, he joined the renowned feature director, Shyam Benegal, as an Asst. Director for films such as Ankur,Manthan, and 'Bhumika. After training under Shyam Benegal, Manjit Kakar and Ravi Uppor, Prahlad Kakar founded Genesis Film Productions in 1977. Prahlad Kakar is the co-founder of ReefWatch Marine Conservation, setup in 1994, which aims at creating marine-life awareness. Dilip Cherian is a communications consultant, a political campaign advisor and a practicing political & policy specialist. After schooling from Don Bosco School, Calcutta, he Graduated from Presidency College, University of Calcutta with honors in Economics. After his M.A., Dilip won the Gurukul Chevening Fellowship at the Dilip Cherian London School of Economics. Dilip is working in the capacity of Consulting Partner with Perfect Relations, which was co-founded by him in early 90s. The company advises CEO's and country management teams on External & Internal Communications and Public Affairs. It today is South Asias largest image management consultancy firm. Dilip has been on the governing board of the Advertising Standards Council of India, which oversees ethics, and practices of players in the media space. Dilip has been elected to IPRAs (International Public Relations Association) Global Council as the India Council Member; holding the position for a two year tenure. He is also Advisor to the President of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI).

Shelly Singh
As EVP & and Cofounder at PeopleStrong, Shelly is responsible for integrating the Business Plan of the company with Operational plan. She is also responsible for overall Process Solution development and special Initiatives of PeopleStrong. Her key areas of focus in this fiscal are to sharpen the focus on service line expansion,innovation in service delivery. Earlier, Shelly has been associated with companies like Sony, Flextroincs (erstwhile Hughes ) & Hewitt and has been instrumental in setting up the HR processes and rolling out end to end implementation plans. Also, Shelly actively associated with National HRD Network and has been in executive team capacity. Shelly holds MBA in Human Resources & International Business from Narsee Monjee University.

Based in Heidelberg India's head office in Chennai, Mr Schieber has joined Heidelberg India to strengthen Heidelberg's commitment in India and especially for new business solutions such as Digital Printing and Consumables for the Sheetfed Offset industry. Mr. Schieber has a vast international experience in his 13 years with Heidelberg. He globally introduced the new Suprasetter Computer-to-Plate device into the market at drupa 2004 and looked after CtP, Prinect, Customer Consultancy and Digital Printing for the region of Asia Pacific based in Singapore. With his broad experience he has helped internationally remarked customers to introduce performance increases to production and business based on Heidelberg's individual solutions.
