Allow to provide new kitchen exhaust ductwork with access panels as per requirements of AS 1668.2 (every 3 metres and change of direction). Main and Dishwashing hoods by others.

Allow to extend existing toilet exhaust system to serve new showers on southern side of the building. Allow to supply and install new in-line ducted toilet exhaust system to accessible toilet 24. Provide new fan, ductwork, diffusion, self-closing damper and external weatherproof louvre as shown. Supply and install new duct spigots complete with lockable quadrant dampers to suit the existing base building as shown on the drawing and as required. Cap and seal air tight all redundant spigots. Supply and install new insulated acoustic transfer ducts through full height partitions as shown on the drawings. Supply and install new insulated flexible ductwork to all air outlets as shown on the drawings. Supply and install vibration isolation mounts to relocated fan coil units. Supply and install new air filters to suit the relocated fan coil units as scheduled. The filters shall be mounted in an airtight frame that will allow easy removal and replacement of the filters. Supply and install a galvanised safety tray under each new in-ceiling supplementary fan coil unit. Allow to install two layers of gyprock below the safety tray. For the Server Room, supplementary air conditioning system (wall mounted air cooled split fan coil unit with external condensing unit) to be provided by Alphacrucis. The mechanical contractor shall install the air conditioning system, including any additional refrigerant pipework, power and controls wiring and anything needed for a complete installation. Allow to provide a new stand alone BMCS to serve the ground floor. A new BACNET Niagara Tridium system was installed as part of Stage 1 on Level 2, allow to provide a similar system (or alternative to be approved) to serve the ground floor. The new control system shall replicate the existing control functionality plus any new control functions required, such as after hours activation. Supply and install a new mechanical services switchboard in plantroom 2 to serve all new major mechanical services plant. Allow to decommission and remove the existing MSSB in this plantroom to provide space for the new board. The existing services from this board shall be housed in the new MSSB. Outside air fans which are replacing existing fans shall derive power from the same switchboard that the existing fan was connected to. All power and controls wiring, switchgear etc. for new and relocated existing plant shall be supplied and installed by the mechanical contractor. Contractor to test operation of existing fire trip shutdown to each of the existing/new water cooled packaged units. Contractor to advise if any of these are not operating correctly. Allow to provide new fire trips (or reinstate existing) to the 3 new packaged units in Plantroom 3. General Scope: Demolition of existing Mechanical Services installation as identified on the Demolition Plan. Complete systems of electrical power for the Mechanical Services installation. Complete Control System for the Mechanical Services installation. Complete systems of piping, valves, fittings, supports etc. Complete systems of ductwork, dampers, air diffusion, supports etc. Complete insulation systems for ductwork and piping in accordance with BCA Section J.

Fire stopping of mechanical services penetrations to maintain FRL. Provision and installation of fire dampers where ducts penetrate fire zones. Overflashing of mechanical services roof penetrations. Flashing and sealing airtight of duct penetrations. Airtight acoustic seals to duct penetrations through acoustic walls. All outside air fans for supplementary fan coil units to be lead vinyl wrapped for acoustic purpose. Provision and fixing of plinth edge surrounds. Flanging of grilles and registers. Complete surveys of supply air quantities, exhaust air quantities, where modification to services is to occur. Surveys are to be carried out before and after modification works. Any changes to original surveyed quantities as a result of the modification works are to be made good by adjustment of supply air fan speeds, pump impellor sizes etc. Commissioning and testing. Twelve months comprehensive maintenance and warranty commencing on the date of Practical Completion including 4 off quarterly / 12 off monthly preventative maintenance visits. Maintenance shall be carried out in accordance with the schedules as specified. Co-ordination with all other components and trades. Preparation of a Construction Programme of the Mechanical Services works, separate from but co-ordinated with the Project Construction Programme, submitted for approval prior to preparation of shop drawings. Detailed "Shop Drawings (Scale 1:50), Builders Work Drawings (Scale 1:50) and schedules of equipment, fully depicting the entire installation, for approval prior to equipment purchase or ductwork manufacture. Manufacturers certified drawings, upon request. Samples, where specified, prior to placing orders. As-installed drawings (electronic and hard copy) as further specified. 3 sets of bound Operation and Maintenance Manuals incorporating as-installed drawings. Painting, marking and labelling Electrical for Mechanical Services Supply and installation of new submain to new mechanical switchboard. Provision of single & three phase power supplies to all new and reused A/C systems and fans (refer to the mechanical services drawings for exact location). Provision of relays and contactors within mechanical switchboards as required, all wired back to labelled terminals. Electrical testing and commissioning of all electrical equipment. Supply of wiring diagrams for approval and "As Constructed" drawings.
