William Kelly, part of the Bogside Artists is making numerous accusations on bogs, documents and newspaper against Rowling on plagiarism against him and Adrian Jacobs Willy the Wizard. I can t say these accusations are false but they are weak, information from a very personal, bias and senseless prospective, in other words William Kelly himself. He has no proof, evidence, logic or reason to back it up. What Mr. W. Kelly doesn t realize that there are hardly any similarities and he is nitpicking random parts of the book that he believes is plagiarism. The parts that are similarities are just ideas and plots that anyone can think of, because they have. These are the plots and ideas similarities that Mr. Kelly says both works have, crying plagiarism and accusing of Rowling of stealing from him. PLOT EXPLANATION: Important similarities are in WHITE. Joseph Campbell published a book called A Hero With a Thousand Faces and another book called The Power of Myth with an interview by Bill Moyers. where Campbell explain his theory of the seminal work of comparative mythology and the journey and steps for a archetypical hero to undertake, the journey and steps that parallels the ideas and plots that William Kelly and Paul Allen, the trustee of Willy the Wizard of stealing. There are more than plenty examples have used those plots and ideas from countless of different sources, like Rowling.

STAR WARS by George Lucas George Lucas Star Wars franchise is the best examples this because Campbell is one of Lucas teachers and the documentary Star Wars: A Legacy Revealed explain the connection between Star Wars and Campbell s theory. When the Star Wars franchise began, Luke Skywalker the main hero is a LOST, ABANDONED, A MIRACULOUS SURVIVOR. CAST OF SERIES INTRODUCED when Luke meets Han Solo, Princess Leia, Chewbacca (who is a animal that he communes) and etc. or when the prequel when we meet Padme, Master Windu and etc. Luke fights two SATANIC VILLAINS such as Darth Vader and Lord Sidious. They call Anakin Skywalker (aka Darth Vader) the CHOSEN ONE. POWER RANGERS by Haim Saban and Disney Inc. The Power Rangers franchise began in 1993 and it is based of a Japanese show called Super Sentai that aired years earlier. Power Rangers has a lot of ideas and plots that Kelly accused of Rowling. The most common idea and plot that I see in Power Rangers franchise is the CAST OF SERIES INTRODUCED where in the first season have Jason (the Red Ranger), Trini (the Yellow Ranger), Zach (the Black Ranger), Kimberly (the Pink Ranger), Billy (the Blue Ranger) and then later Tommy (the Green Ranger). The CAST OF SERIES INTRODUCED goes through out the entire franchise timeline. Many of the seasons they get a MENTOR such as Zordon and a SATANIC VILLAIN such as Rita Repulsa or Lord Zedd or demon villains from the Lightspeed Rescue season. They always perform MAGICAL FEATS, COMMUNES WITH WILD ANIMALS (especially in Season 3, the Lost Galaxy and Wild Force seasons) AND MUST PROVE THEIR COURAGE, as in some episode they lose their courage and gain them back again or they first reject becoming Power Rangers but prove their courage to believe they should be Power Rangers. They find themselves in a SURREAL WORLD many times such as both in their movies and in many episodes, one best example is the Island of Illusion episode in season 1. Watch the Power Rangers franchise and try to find the ideas and plots that Kelly accused Rowling of stealing. The first Power Rangers get BULLIED AT SCHOOL by Bulk and Skull, even though the bullies are not good bullies. INUYASHA by Rumiko Takahashi Inuyasha began as a manga comic series 1996 and then ended in 2008, in the middle of that time frame it became a successful Anime series. Inuyasha is a LOST,

ABANDONED, A MIRACULOUS SURIVOR. The Inuyasha world has a CAST OF SERIES INTRODUCED with the characters of Kagaome, Miroku, Sango and Shippo, then there are the major supporting cast such as the SATANIC VILLAIN of a demon called Naraku. INUYASHA COMMUNES WITH WILD ANIMALS all the time, especially with Koga and Shippo and at times he PROVES HIS COUAGE when fighting enemies. Kagome goes to a SURREAL WORLD between her modern world and the federal world. Inuyasha performs MAGICAL FEATS and must find the Shikon Jewel, similar to the PHILOSOPHER S STONE. I see Inuyasha PINES FOR HIS MOTHER AND FATHER where Inuyasha s past with his mother pains him at times and so as his father, especially how Inuyasha gets his Tessaiga sword and Myoga always talks about his father. Although Kohaku is not the main character, I see at the start he has his own storyline by having low-self esteem but works on that later in the series. I see Kohaku storyline similar to Harry Potter s in many ways and personally other than the main characters, Kohaku is my favorite character. Inuyasha have A MENTOR such as Myoga, Lady Kaede and sometimes Sesshomaru. In a movie, Inuyasha WAS BULLIED when he was young. They go into an ENCHANTED FOREST all the time where there are demons and magical entities in the forest. Check out Inuyasha both version of the Anime and Manga and then see what plots and ideas are in this series that Kelly accused Rowling of stealing. Again, since now several writers have thought of these ideas and plots, so can Rowling. Travelers with Li Po are not the only ones that can come up with these plots and ideas, let alone he believes he is the first writer ever. WIZARD OF OZ by L. Frank Baum The Wonderful Wizard of Oz is known as a classic movie in 1939 that was based on a book in the year 1900, just the start of the 20th century. They have CAST OF SERIES INTRODUCED with Dorothy, the Cowardly Lion, the Scarecrow, the Tin Man, Glinda the Good Witch and etc. There is a SATANIC VILLAIN known as the Wicked Witch of the West. Dorothy COMMUNES WITH WILD ANIMALS such as the Cowardly Lion and the flying monkeys. She PROVES HER COURAGE, PERFORMS MAGICAL FEAT with the ruby slippers, finds herself in a SURREAL WORLD, goes into an ENCHANTED FOREST and meets Glinda, THE MENTOR. Dorothy is a LOST, ABANDONED AND MIRACULOUS SURIVOR as she survives a tornado. X-Men series by Stan Lee The X-Men is a major successful comic book series of the Marvel Comics and X-Men is one of the works that Rowling read and one of the influenced to her books. X-Men have a CAST OF SERIES introduced with Wolverine, Cyclopes, Jean Grey, Storm and etc. They have a Mentor of CHARLES XAVIER. Most of the characters PINES FOR THEIR MOTHER AND FATHER of there abandoned parents. They perform MAGICAL FEATS due to their powers and they always PROVE THEIR COURAGE when going up against enemies and missions. They get BULLIED AT SCHOOL because of their powers, in the series X-Men: Evolution they are bullied once they are found out of

their powers. They get SATANIC VILLAINS such as Apocalypse, Minster Sinister and my personal favorite X-Men villain, Magneto. So I don t find it a coincidence that XMen has many of the ideas and plots that Kelly accused of Rowling and also this is one of the works that Rowling admitted that she actually read. X-Men have the COMMUNES WITH WILD ANIMALS, especially with Beast. The point that I am making that any one can come up with these ideas and plots that Kelly accused of Rowling from stealing from him because so many works have these ideas and plots, they can then anyone can but Mr. Kelly is too ignorant to see that. There are more than plenty of other sources that Rowling could have gotten her ideas and there are more then plenty of other examples from other works that had used these ideas and plots. He once accused of Rowling and her PRs putting in these precedents just to protect her theft . So that shows his personal obsession and ignorance to this subject. He also wrote Mr. Kelly fully knows Rowling read his work . How does he know? What proof that she read her work? What proof that she hadn t read any other works or sources because there are more than plenty but that might be an understatement? Try to find the top 100 successful fictional works and try to find the ideas and plots in those works. A good suggestion would be try to look for other fictional work from Anime, Manga or classical works before 1990. Especially read Joseph Campbell s A Hero With a Thousand Faces and the documentary Star Wars: A Legacy Revealed , then you see their philosophy parallels with the ideas and plots that Kelly accused of Rowling of stealing.
