Step by Step guide to Load data into ODS and then into Cube: Z6CUBEXX 1) Make a list of all

the infoObjects both Characteristics and Keyfigure that the Transaction has and should go into the Cube and the ODS. 2) Go to RSA1. Go to InfoSources. Put the Cursor on ZBW_CLASS folder. Right click and select Create InfoSources. 3) Give Technical name as IS_ODS_COPA_XX_KK and Description. Hit enter. 4) Start typing the infoObjects in the field on the screen which is ready for input. Remember to also add infoObject 0SOURSYSTEM, 0DOC_NUM and 0RECORDMODE. 5) When all the infoObjects are finished then press "Activate" button. This creates the InfoSource which is going to load data into the Cube. 6) Go to RSA1. Go to InfoProviders. Put the Cursor on ZBW_CLASS folder. Right click and select Create ODS. 7) Give Technical name as Z6ODSXX and Description. Hit enter. 8) Select Push Button InfoSources and find InfoSource IS_ODS_COPA_XX_KK. Transfer infoObjects 0FISCPER and 0DOC_NUM as the Key. Transfer rest to the Data fields. 9) In the settings section only check the checkbox for "Set quality status to 'OK' automatically". Do not check any other check box. 10) Choose "Activate" button. This creates the ODS. Connect ODS and InfoSource IS_ODS_COPA_XX_KK. 13) Go back to folder ZBW_CLASS in the InfoProvider and search for you ODS. Put cursor on your ODS and select "Create Update Rules" 14) On the Screen choose "InfoSources" and enter your InfoSource IS_ODS_COPA_XX_KK. 15) Choose "Yellow Arrow Push button" at the top left and then Activate the Update Rule. 16) Go to RSA1. Go to InfoSources. Put the Cursor on ZBW_CLASS and find your InfoSource IS_ODS_COPA_XX_KK . 17) Right Click and select "Assign Data Source". Choose Source system "PC File1". Choose "Yes" on all the following screens. 18) Go Transfer Structure tab and re-arrange all the infoObjects that are exactly like your file columns. Insert Extra infoObjects if they are missing. Example 0DOC_NUM. 19) Remove conversion exit "PERI7" from the Transfer Structure for infoObject 0FISCPER. Go the Transfer rules tab. Choose Transfer rule "US" for 0SOURSYSTEM, "10" for Customer Group and "K4" for Fiscal Yr/Period. 20) Activate these Transfer Rules. 21) Go to RSA1. Go to InfoSources. Put the Cursor on ZBW_CLASS and find your InfoSource IS_ODS_COPA_XX_KK . 22) Expand your InfoSources and find "PC File1" which is under it. Put Cursor on it and right click. Select "Create InfoPackages". Give description to your infoPackage 23) On the "External data" Tab Choose CSV file, Separator as "," also choose header that need to be skipped. Put the CVS file name that needs to be loaded. Hit enter. 24) Save this infoPackage. The choose the "Preview" button which is on the "External data" and preview the data. Simulate it all the way to the Cube. 25) If the Transfer Structure is incorrect then fix it. If Update rule is incorrect then fix it. 26) When no errors then go to the Schedule tab and load the data. 27) Choose "Monitor" and then go to the manage screen of the Cube. If the Request turns Green and gets the "Reporting symbol" then the load is successful. Connect Cube and ODS 28) Go back to folder ZBW_CLASS in the InfoProvider and search for you Cube. Put cursor on your Cube and select "Create Update Rules". 29) On the Screen choose "ODS" and enter your ODS Z6ODSXX. 30) Choose "Yellow Arrow Push button" at the top left and then Activate the Update Rule. 31) Go to RSA1. Go to InfoSources.

Load data in ODS as a Delta: 1) Create a new Infopackage called as "init" for the InfoSource 8Z6ODS00. On the "Update" tab choose option "Initialize". Load data into the Cube. This will transfer all the ODS data to the Cube and also initialize the Delta. 2) Now another Infopackage called as "Delta" for the InfoSource 8Z6ODS00. On the "Update" tab choose option "Delta". Load data into the Cube. No data will transfer to the Cube. 3) Go to the file and make some changes to few records. 4) Go to InfoSource IS_ODS_COPA_XX_KK and using the existing infopackage load this changed file to the ODS. 5) Go to InfoSource 8Z6ODSXX and use Infopackage "Delta" to push the Delta to the Cube. This should load the change log into the Cube and not all the file. That is sucessfull loading of Delta.
