Scope and Purpose of the Article


This document can be used as a understand how to create a processing class & PCR to meet the specific client requirement and how the payroll will process this PCR.

Pre-requisites
The readers are expected to have a good understanding of Payroll process in SAP. Basic knowledge of Wage type creation, Processing classes, Schema, PCR & Operations.

Business Scenario:
One day salary deduction (without proration) contribution in case of national calamities etc.The contribution should be deducted after taking consent of the employee. Detailed configuration steps with screen shots are given below for One day Salary deduction as per Business Requirement. Steps to be followed to meet the Business Requirement 1. Create a customer wage type 9GRS to store cumulated amount Craete a wage type to cumulate the wage types which are basis for one day salary deduction.

2. Create a customer processing class 99 with specification SPROPayrollpayroll IndiaBasic SettingsEnvironment of wage type maintenaceProcessing classes&evaluation classesMaintain processing classes & their specifications. We can create customer specific processing class in the range 90-99

3. Create a ZONE rule basing on the specification to cumulate the wage types which are basis for one day salary deduction. Write a rule to cumlate the wage types.

4. Create Customer wage type to pay the one day salary deduction Create a customer specific deduction wage type with input combination as either amount or number unit.

Maintain the table V_512w_d As this wage type should not be prorated select specification 0 for processing class 10

5. Create a ZON1 rule to arrive one day salary deduction. The amount should be divided by calendar days,then multiply with number with amount and result will be stored in one day salary deduction wage type.

TKDIVINumber of calendar days in the period. OPINDMultiplies amount,number,rate (or)all by -1,If the wage type is a deduction wage type. 6. Create a customer schema and insert the PCRs Copy the standard sub schema INAP as ZNAP & deactivate INAP. We need to insert the PCR at the right place in the Schema.In the present scenario we are processing one day salary deduction through Infotype 15.So insert the PCRs in ZNAP subschema.

Select the Processing class 99 & spcification class 1 for all the wage types which are to be cumulated for one day salary deduction.

7. Example One day salary deduction (without Proration) in case of absence.Maintain Master data Employee receives the following Basic Pay as on 01-04-2010

If Employee goes on Loss of Pay / Unpaid Absence for 4 days Now add two absences in infotype 2001.

Add one 9ONE wage type in infotype 15 with one day as number & days as unit.

Pay slip Run the payroll & see the payslip As per the business requirement one day salary is deducted without proration.

You can also test other scenarios like mid month joining,left etc.
Note : The above configuration will not provide any income tax exemption for one day salary deduction.Inorder to get income tax exemption we need to put this amount in 585 Infotype.
