JAMCLUB Organizes Busy Adults Into Plug-And-Play, Hassle-Free Performing Bands Agencys Ongoing Mission To Get More Music Into Peoples Lives Targets Adult Music Hobbyists
Salt Lake City, UT JAMCLUB is a new concept in 2012 that offers musical adults the facilities, equipment and support staff to play and perform just about any style of music without the hassle of placing ads, auditions, developing rehearsal space, buying expensive equipment, finding a venue or booking and promoting gigs. JAMCLUB does all of this for them. MusicGarage.org Founder, Steve Auerbach explains, Part of our mission at MusicGarage.org is to get more music into peoples lives and JAMCLUB gives busy, yet musically like-minded adults all of the facilities, equipment, support and opportunities to play and perform music with others without the hassle of organizing and managing a band. Auerbach and his MusicGarage.org staff are experts at rehearsing bands and staging concerts; producing nearly 500 youth musicians in some 300 youth concerts to-date. A program of the non-profit Utah Arts Alliance, MusicGarage.org capitalizes on Auerbachs decades of experience as an award-winning concert producer and music educator, president of an international booking agency, musician and record producer. Auerbach's booking agency and record label rosters have served members of Frank Zappa, Parliament-Funkadelic, Janes Addiction and Snoop Dogg. Before coming to Utah, Auerbach lived and worked in New York and Los Angeles where he did recording session synthesizer and sound design in 1980s for clients ranging from Kenny Loggins to Smokey Robinson and Rick James to Steve Vai. Locally, Auerbach is best known bringing School of Rock to Utah; building facilities, hiring and training staff in Salt Lake, Sandy, Park City and Denver from 2005-2008. In 2009, Auerbach joined forces with the non-profit Utah Arts Alliance and founded MusicGarage.org. The agency has operations at its new 389 W 1700 South location and in several school districts. JAMCLUB is based on the premise that between work and family, it costs these musicians less hassle, time and money to pay a modest $75 monthly membership fee to join a plug-and-play JAMCLUB where they can use MusicGarage.org's pro gear and venue than putting a band together. Auerbach summarizes, JAMCLUB is not perfect for all, but it may be perfect for you. HOW IT WORKS 1. Musicians tell JAMCLUB what instrument(s) and style(s) of music that they want to play including a few songs. 2. JAMCLUB provides a coordinator and rehearsal venue with pro sound, lights, amps, drums, keyboards, etc. 3. JAMBLUB coordinates the musicians and invites like-minded musicians to a "meet and greet" rehearsal. 4. JAMCLUB members rehearse weekly in an eleven-weeks season to perform an end-of-season show. 5. JAMCLUB members build skills and repertoire from season-to-season toward playing more gigs. 6. JAMCLUB is a band incubator where each growing session is split into a new groups bringing members closer to finding the perfect music partners who share a style of music to form a community and eventuallya band.
