SELF-ASSESSMENT: The Longevity Project includes quizzes and

questionnaires that help readers see if they fit the profile of people who live long.

The following is a personality test. Some of the questions are nearly the same as the ones used in the study that is the basis for The Longevity Project.

A score between 10 and 24 indicates very low conscientiousness. Scores between 37 and 50 suggest exceptionally high conscientiousness.

To compute your score


Each item scores from 1 to 5, but for items 2, 5, 8 and 10, reverse the scores. That means you should change 1 to 5, 2 to 4, 4 to 2, 5 to 1 and leave 3 as 3. Then eliminate items 3 and 7.
