Hello, my name is Michael Cook. My wife is Vietnamese and I plan to live here in Ha Noi. I am looking for full time position teaching English with monthly pay and steady hours. I have just finished a month long CELTA course at the Apollo English Center on Le Van Huu where I will be given my CELTA certification. I have had plenty of practice teaching English here in Vietnam. Personal Statement Hello, I am a marketing graduate with a business management minor from the Paris School of Business with the knowledge of marketing and the skills of a marketer. I am a native English speaker and know some Spanish and French. I enjoy teaching adults English. I can see myself teaching English for the rest of my life here in Ha Noi. I am currently looking for a full time job teaching English. I am capable of teaching anyone English, but I adults who are between elementary and intermediate.

I worked as a cashier/stocker at the Dollar Tree (a dollar store). I worked on unloading delivery trucks, stocking shelves, working the cash register, and greeting clients. 2011 Current English Teaching Currently I am teaching at different places in Ha Noi. Before I got my certificate I worked for LESH English Center. I also work for a kindergarten in Ha Dong teaching 2 nights a week.

Interests Sports: My favorite is Basketball, but I also like golf, tennis, American football, football, and more. Culture: I am very interested in different cultures and learning how different cultures are. I want to know how cultures differ, how they work, how to adapt to different cultures for when I decide to go travelling. Teaching: Since I have had my CELTA class I am very interested in teaching. I really enjoy teaching English to adults.

Skills Creating Rapport: When teaching I am very good at creating a good rapport with my students. I know how to make them feel comfortable in the classroom and how to make the learning environment student centered. Monitoring: I am very good at monitoring freer exercises and knowing when to give error feedback. Checking Student Comprehension: I am good at making sure my students understand the material being presented to them. I keep my lessons very engaging and full of concept check questions to make sure students are understanding what they are being taught correctly.
