MINISTRY FAIR/SILENT AUCTION

WE HAVE A WINNER
Congratulations to Emily Miles for being the Walk-a-thon t-shirt design contest win-
ner! Her design won the most votes at our Stewardship Ministry Fair. In addition to
bragging rights, Emily will receive a $50 savings bond from the Knights of Colum-
bus! Thanks also to everyone who voted, as well as to ALL of the religious educa-
tion students who submitted entries. A copy of Emilys winning design is in the dis-
play case in the gathering space of church for all to see!

SILENT AUCTION A SUCCESS!
Many thanks to all parishioners, staff, volunteers and businesses that participated in
making our Ministry Fair and Silent Auction a success. Not only was it a great
community building event, it was also a great fundraiser as well. Preliminary
figures indicate that we raised approximately $5,000 from the silent auction.

LENT IS RIGHT AROUND THE CORNER

Lent will begin with Ash Wednesday, Feb. 22nd , Mass times at St. Francis Xavier
are 8:30 a.m. & 7:00 p.m. All Saints mass time is 7:00 p.m.

The Old Hymnals

Now that our new hymnals are in place and in use; we need to give the old green
ones to those generous donors of by gone years. In the coming weeks we will place
those with donor labels in them on tables in the gathering space like we did the new
ones. Please browse through them. If you or a family member (living or deceased)
donated one; please take it and either keep as a keepsake or make sure it gets to the
donor. Any hymnals left after two or three weeks will be donated to the churches of
Appalachia. Anyone else wanting one of the old hymnals is certainly welcome to
have one. See Richard for one without a donor label.

COPING WITH GRIEF

St. Francis Xaviers new ministry, Coping with Grief, for persons grieving
the death of a spouse or a close loved one, will be holding their next meeting
Monday, Feb .13 from 6:30 p.m. 7:30 p.m. in the religious education build-
ing (TGIF room). We hope you will join us for conversation, coffee, and des-
sert.

STEWARDSHIP ... is what I do after I say I believe

Whether you eat or drinkwhatever you doyou should do all for the glory of
God. 1 Corinthians 10:31

St. Paul zeros in on the essence of stewardship, do all for the Glory of God. If
we see stewardship as a life in gratitude to God, all we do , say, or give is a thank-
ful response that gives glory to the Giver of the very life.
