DX 2000 High Strain Extensometer

m
types and grips/xtures. A new energy absorbing mechanism provides protection to the DX 2000 High Strain Extensometer arms, even for high-energy specimens. Another unique feature of the DX 2000 High Strain Extensometer is adaptability. The unit is available for use on all MTS electromechanical frames. Adapter kits and an Analog Output option are available for integration with load frames from most other manufacturers and MTS servo-hydraulic frames. On many systems the unit can rotate to a stow position, keeping it out of the way of testing when not in use. Meets applicable ISO 37, ASTM D638, and ASTM D412 standards.

Features

Versatility

Adjustable Gage Length Supports both Metric or American Customary gage lengths. Easily adjusts for different length specimens and grips
Low Specimen Stress

The new DX 2000 High Strain Extensometer is a great addition to the MTS extensometer family. This unit is designed for high elongation applications on elastomeric materials such as latex, silicone, rubber, polyurethane and other similar materials. The DX 2000 High Strain Extensometer features an innovative design that accommodates one-handed specimen loading, adjustable gripping force, and other ergonomic attributes. It uses a digital transducer that eliminates noise, increases measurement accuracy, and eliminates signal drift and output changes that are common with other units. The complete design provides the capability to interface with a variety of machine

Round Contact Grips reduce stress concentrations and prevent premature break Adjustable Gripping Force prevent the grips from damaging the specimen and slippage druing testing. Minimum static and dynamic activation force
