The correction factor (the total items 11, 22, 33, 44 and 55) is used to determine whether or not a person tries a favorable image of himself. If the total score on this factor is 20 or greater, then the total score on the ten PEC must be corrected to provide a more accurate assessment of the strengths of the PEC score of the individual. 2.
